Basically the maximum dmg reduction you got will be used and the other dmg reductions that are lower than the "maximum dmg used" .. will be ignored , for example if u got a heroic fatima with glowstik aa slotted , u will have 20% dmg redu from heroic fatima , but once u use glow aa , the 20% from h fatima will be ignored and the 95% from glow aa will take effect , then it goes to 75% then 55% then 35% .. and then 20% from h fatima will get back into affect (since the last stage glow aa gives 15% and will not take effect since it is inferior to the 20% from h Fatima )
P.s : glowstik aa gives a (95-75-55-35-15% dmg reduction) shield that last 6 seconds , 1.2 sec for every percentage
I hope i was able to explain it in a nice way
That's incorrect - armor, armor multiplier, and armor mitigation together can reduce damage taken from attacks that don't ignore armor by at most 80%.
Damage reduction is handled on its own after the results of that and technically does not have limits (though I think glowstik's brief 95% is the most available).
So for example, if you would be hit for 1000, if you have enough armor related stuff to hit the 80% cap, and also have 50% damage reduction, you would take 100 damage (1000 * (1 - 0.8) * 0.5).
