Is there a easy way to fix keyboard popup delay on AL

when typing in AL chat my keyboard has input lag and sometimes will not popup at all.

Things Ive tried:

Clear keyboard cache
Turn off all extra keyboard/spelling effects
Clear game cache/storage

Unfortunately that's completely at the system level, we just say 'show the text input box, give it input focus', so nothing we can do with it.

Resetting network settings, turning off for a bit, then turning back on fixed my issues for the time being
