I think first crate was the locked watch, it was designed as an actual crate if i remeber correctly....
First cap was 16 as I heard, I started on 21 tho

First lvl cap was 16, and about crates, there were some crates / packs in store if im not mistaken. First lootable lock was lock crate of the watch

First paywall crate was “founders” in store
Lvl cap was 16 , but the crates one is complex , since they used to change contents of locked crates and release them , so there were different locked crates with different loot from different seasons , i'd say those early locked crates are the rarest.
If you're talking about chests , there are unopened chests with loot from early seasons still in the game , i have seen a pirate chest from kraken expansion (21) , which contains rare variants of demonlords , like purple , green and blue variants only available from those crates at lvl21

I couldn’t have gone from 1-21 on the first day of release (I did) if 16 was cap
I specifically opened founders crate on lv 16 because that was pl’s 1st cap
****Edit- oh I see the confusion now, ppl are basing it off banners not level cap
First banner was for level 16 first level cap for iOS was 21

First level cap was 16. 21 came fairly quickly though.
First plat chests were things like Founder's Armor Chest, Founder's Helmet Chest, Founder's Jewelry Chest, Founder's Mystery Chest, Founder's Weapons Chest, Premium Jewelry Chest. There was also a Leprechaun bundle. I think that came a bit later.
I think Story Tokens you had to get 1 at at time.
