I hear you. With the current calculation the totals you can get from gear/stat points is minimal unless you add a +10% crit or dodge pet and even then you would be sacrificing other stats just for it to be good.
I had an idea for another calculation on dodge/crit to improve your dodge/crit even at the lowest levels, but at the same time wouldn't let you over stack them when the max level get's higher up. You can see the spreadsheet in the forum below.
