Reaching the Top Level

I'm not sure where I formed this seeming "misconception", but I used to think that upon attaining the highest level possible (e.g., previously it was 21, now it is 26, and soon it will be 31), the player will get four additional skill points apart from the one he usually gets from leveling up.

But it doesn't seem that's the case when I leveled up from Lvl 25. to Lvl. 26.

Is this a glitch? Or is this just me misunderstanding?

From what I understand, I think last time, leveling up from 20 to 21 earned them extra skill points.


I've just leveled up, and all those hours I spent have not been "rewarded". By extra skill points. Otherwise, what's the point? Why not just wait for the next expansion to come out, and then level up for only 2600 xp, instead of slaving away for ten times as much for the same results?

Yes, you get stat and skill points for reaching 26 just like any other level.

you get one more skill point and 6 more stat points like in every other lvl...

max level benefits = green banner, one skill point , 6 stat points ..

about your last paragraph , the point of getting to lvl 26 or maxing your toon is to get the best gears in that particular patch. Lvl 26>25, its very obvious :) and what you said "instead of slaving away for ten times as much for the same results?" you are not having fun in AL , aren't you? Yes, I know it takes time to max out your char but the main purpose sts did those things is because first the next cap isn't released fast, it takes time that developers can create new places, dungeons, items, etc. In order for them to think more, they lengthen the gameplay by having 10x xp for the last level to get because if we level up fast, players post in forums making threads about " plz sts, patch now! bla bla bla we want more levels bla bla bla" :)

I still love the Lv.16 cap banner much more. I hope they change banners to some sort of vanity set.
