Sunblessed Bow of the Void proc

Hello,

Since hitting 50, I've been testing out my new toy:

I noticed that fairly frequently, it puts stars over my head, like so:

Of course I was curious about what kind of proc this might be. First I verified that this is a proc of the bow, not something coming from my target. I found that while I have no new buff icon while the proc is in effect, I do have slightly different stats:

Wait, what?

My bow proc nerfs my own hit% by 60 points?

Surely this is intended to affect my target, or is intended to be beneficial to me somehow? Or is there a hidden component of this effect that offsets this handicap?

Seems some of these AO3 items may be a hazard to the user...

Sunbless scimitar was doing this two. it would drop your hit% by 50% till it was down to 1%. It was fixed for that weapon atleast.

Yeah ive noticed this with nearly all the new rift weaopns !! they are extreley hazardous !!

Anyone noticed with gurgoxx? I haven't noticed it do stun procs either, when vs a boss 1v1 I've noticed it do constant damage still.

That gives me some hope that this bow will be usable soon. Some confirmation would be cool, though. :p

The good news: As a pure DEX archer, it doesn't make tons of difference.

The bad news: Mobs, bosses, and PVP opponents won't have the hit reduction. Very useful if fighting a tank or high level boss.

I think gurgox hammer self-stuns yourself too. I don't know if it was just the attack or it was a skill from a mob, but I did not have any aggro on me yet I "stun" myself when I attack.

Since posting this, I have observed occasional double procs, resulting in a 84% hit rate. A triple would leave me at 24%. This is most likely to happen in an extended boss battle, when I can least afford it.

No need to fix this anymore! I gave up and respecced to Str like everyone else. I absolutely hate it, but at least I can usually survive one god damned hit now. :(
