To everyone who "wants this" or is willing to be a "good citizen":

Just because you want something, and do nice things for others just for a shield, shame on you. Some people are VERY NICE and they don't even want to become a GoA. You are chosen by Devs for purpose, not just because they want you to have a "cool shield". It's VERY SAD to me that some guy wants to help out with the community JUST FOR THE SHIELD. Ask any GoA, they will say they probably don't even care if they HAD THE SHIELD, because they are glad to of been crowned with something that some will not achieve. The GoAs strive to be good, because thats who they are. People who strive for GoA for a shield, quit faking being someone you're not. Or the people that say "we need more recruits" is the worst of it. You'd see a sudden change in ALMOST EVERYONE'S ATTITUDE FOR THAT SHIELD in PL if they were to confirm they are starting GoA up again.

I agree with you. Im proud to have a veterans shield cuz it shows ive been playing for more than 6 months. And people, its not about the shield. Whiever got it deserves it. In game there are millions of items you can wear to look good! there are vanities, elites, pinks! & everyone wants a shield. this post is refeering to ppl who just love the shield. Ok you get a shield with a crown on it, but thats all to it. JUST a shield! even I see chickenrunn not wearing it! (mostly cuz he uses a bow.) If you want it, be yourself, nothing else.

Funny how people say oh no GoA are absent. They're the oldies... Actually they're the oldies thar everyone knows about :3 i dont strive to do good and dont strive to over achieve but dont do bad. I just have fun haha its a game you shouldnt waste your life trying to strive for pixels. I mean id rather not be bombarded with friend requests because im a GoA thats just me...

If spacetime studios actually DOES make ppl who are pretending to be good GoA, then there would be a whole buncha them runnin around, and my location wouldn't be "stalking GoA's"

This statement couldn't be any more false. I know several GoA's who were not "regular" forumers (I for one was a MUCH more helpful forumer AFTER my surprise as I did my "helping" in-game.) Also, the first group of GoA's were completely unaware of STS's intentions. Let's leave the thread to be what it is: informative. This guessing and bashing isn't needed.

No, it should say "The List of Guardians of Alterra". GoA is not to be pursued. It's given.

There are only 2 current members which IMO qualify for GoA. Other is sadly quite inactive but the other one is still rockin' around. And no, I do not mean u.

Of course not me. Ill never be GoA. I myself think im not good enough to be a GoA. I dont qualify, I dont have the right skills, everything about me is a obvious "no" to GoA.

Shadow, making guides is not what got us GoA.

In the times when the game wasn't completely figured out, people used to contribute and help out a lot. This included treating fellow players with respect, playing the game maturely, and knowing what to do in situations where everything is not ideal. (This can range from an argument between two players, being called out on forums, or outright chaos over an update)


Typically, the players who are GoA are mature, older players. This doesn't mean the younger audience can't be granted the honor of the title & shield. It's just that the people who were older were more likely to act out of the goodness of their heart.

On that note, while the majority of the GoA are mature older players, there are also a handful that do not fit that category, such as me (I was awarded mine when I was 16), Mysticaldream, Otukura, Dawninfinity, etc.

Though we may not have had the age of experience, we still had maturity, kindness, and other characteristics people appreciate.


Many of us do not show those characteristics as often in daily encounters anymore due to the fact of sheer boredom of the game and annoyance at the trivial fights. As a result, what remains is many of us have succumbed to trolling. It's something not commendable - I'll admit that firsthand, but alot of the time one does not realize.

However, if there was a situation in which help was direly needed, I'm sure that none of us would say no.





If you'd like, search up some of our older posts (try looking a year and a half back) to see how it was like.

Also, I can look up the thread I made identifying many of the characteristics GoA have in common to give you an idea.
