Not my decision, but here's what I recommend to scary for tryouts:
Person who wants to join fights scary or a co-gm or otherwise a char "certified" by scary to test others. From there, their skill (not score vs their tester) is evaluated and considered by the certified char. Officers can provide input to sway the tester's opinion, but no concrete voting will be enforced. The tester then decides to allow the person in or deny them.
I recommend their skill, not score is to be evaluated because we don't expect our members to be better than our leet co-gm testers. No official voting should be enforced because of how 50-50 split it can be. If someone didn't get in off of a 5-6 vote (5 being invite, 6 being reject), they are clearly skilled enough to be invited because they have the support of 5 whole officers.
In shorter terms, do something along the lines of Tactical Error, it's the best tryout based guild I've yet seen.
