You should have had a basic solution like milk. Water is usually not too effective in ridding the effects of spiciness. I'd recommend the following: milk, yogurt, or ice cream.

We were actually having a barbeque party somewhere far from my house, and no one I knew lived near. And there were prolly 30 I didnt know lol!
So there was no milk, no dairy product (kinda suprised cuz most of the adults drink coffee or tea)
