They didn't give me a reason for the bans also lol. You have to love this company, good transparency.
Why are we not getting the chest with pet evolution shards Nobody wants cracked jewels
IIRC you got temp banned for your tirades during the last Temple event because you were insulting other players and being generally rude and combative in your responses to players who were trying to help you. Not sure about the other time.
It didn't seem necessary to spell it out for you - as you seemed insightful enough to realize that you were lashing out. The ban was also temporary because we value passionate feedback (even if it's laced with personal attacks toward the developers).
We'll endeavor to let you know the details next time you're banned from the forums.
Ursoth is next week right?
Suggestion: Add Arlorian Boss Hunt Monsters as House Decorations!
Hey Devs,
With the return of the Arlorian Boss Hunt event, I’d love to see the boss images available as house decorations! These bosses look amazing, and it would be awesome to display them in our houses as paintings, banners, or even interactive trophies.
It would be a great way to commemorate the event and give players another way to personalize their spaces. Could you consider adding them as a reward or purchase option during the event?
Thanks for all your work, looking forward to the hunt!
First: I talk about the toxic behavior he has every time he complains, it's okay to complain, but he just spews senseless hate, without objectivity
Second: Shxrk, you know very well that each event is different, some events to make gold, another to make eggs, others as a temple only for those who prepared with equipment, this one is also different for those who invest in exchange for a unique title, not all events have to be to give gold, or to be pvp etc, each event is different, I would not like each event to be like Easter or like eggzavier, can you imagine? the game would be broken, it seems strange to me that you don't know that point Shxrk
True - if the chests awarded no points at all then there would be no complaint about their trade status. Instead, the complaints would surround players who "no-life" the event so they can score when others are at work, school, or just living life here on Earth. It's always something with LB because LB's are exciting, and we expect players to feel strongly about the way they are set up.
I look at it this way: the vast majority of players aren't going to get anywhere near the LB top 25 (let alone Top 1) and the few that do are probably going to have to spend a significant amount of gold or a huge amount of time... or both. This vast majority has the option to make decent gold selling event chests to the few players committed to taking those top spots. It does put spending pressure on those who wish to stay in the Top 25 but that's not unusual.
I don’t think he’s being toxic, a lot of players (many who quit) disagreed with putting points for events in chest..it seems detrimental to events that were supposed to be a fun part of the game. It’s like the tier rewards, loot and token vendors..they are far less appealing than they were in past and a reason why so many don’t even bother with them. We are all entitled to give feedback or else sts wouldn’t have a forum thread for it. It’s sad but sometimes when we see changes we can’t help but express disappointment because this was a game we invested time in and enjoyed.
.
I think this is a really cool idea. It is a ton of work so it's not something we can squeeze in for this year's Arlorian Boss Hunt - but I will put it in my notes to review for next year.
My instinct tells me that we'll need to come up with some sort of automation to turn all of the game's bosses into images you can display in your house. We make images for other events because we can easily make one or two boss monsters into images without affecting other aspects of development. Unfortunately, the effort to do EVERY boss in the game will be quite challenging... but it is a very cool idea! Thanks for the suggestion :-)
You hit the right note there ;)
In the past we had so much better tier rewards for events. Token vendors had better items for sale for TOKENS.
My problems with the current events and LB:
-LB rewards should be untradeable. During leaderboard events, the rewards should be for players who want to grind the event to get unique items that only a limited amount of players in the game will have. With this you'll also need bane items back and event elixirs should last 1 hour and should be 10 platinum. With also the removing of the %15 event score boost.
Most leaderboard events now are just simple pay to win. Just buy loads of event elixirs for event score boost, buy loads of energy kits. It's hard to beat the no life players in this game. But the normal players who do want to grind the event for the rewards should all have an equal chance. Which is not the case with the current events. You're simply forced to spend loads of gold or loads of platinum to make a chance for top 25/top 50.
You should be able to grind an event and fight for LB without spending gold or platinum. By just playing the event. Farming in KT4 for energy, playing the event for tokens. Event elixir should just be an elixir that gives you extra chance to get loot from mobs/bosses. You guys are locking content behind these event elixirs now which is ridiculous. Look at love event, gold merflin bosses are nowhere to be found and they never drop anything good (I did hundreds of runs).
With each event most of the playerbase is already 1 step behind because all the whales in the game have stacks of energy kits and event elixir already.
So my suggestions:
-Event elixir only for extra chance loot from mobs/bosses.
-Event elixir should last for 1 hour and cost 10 platinum.
-Bring back bane item. Cost 10 platinum. Removed after event.
-Remove energy kits from store and token vendor. Player shouldn't be able to buy them with platinum.
-LB rewards untradeable.
-Make event maps enjoyable. Get rid of all the annoying poison pools.
-Increase token drops from mobs/bosses and from quests.
-Remove crafting recipes from token vendor. Everything should be unlocked and ready to craft through craft station.
Look at love event, if you want to craft most of the vanity items it costs thousands of tokens. It's simply to much but also nobody wants it.
I understand that each event has a different purpose, and I’m not saying all events should be the same. The issue here is that this leaderboard isn’t really a competition. it’s just an auction where the highest bidder wins. Events should reward skill, strategy, or dedication, not just the size of someone’s wallet.
Saying that this event is ‘different’ doesn’t justify the fact that it completely excludes average players from even having a chance at the top rewards. There’s a difference between an event being challenging and an event being pay-to-win.
I’ve competed in several leaderboards, and I’ve won every single one, whether it was T5 or T10, just by spending hundreds of millions, even billions.
There’s no skill involved just spending. Like the recent Love LB, where all you had to do was buy letters and also use tons of elixirs since they only lasted 10 minutes.
If leaderboards are meant to be exciting and competitive, they should have a fairer system where more players feel like they have a shot at winning, not just the richest ones.
Only lb that i felt it was fair was Faction Wars.
I get that no system will make everyone happy, and that leaderboards will always have competition. But the issue isn’t just that people are spending a lot. it’s that there’s no real competition at all. When winning is purely about who has the most gold, the event stops being engaging for the majority of players.
You mention that most players won’t get anywhere near the Top 25, but isn’t that part of the problem? A leaderboard should feel like a challenge, not a paywall. If skill, strategy, or consistent effort played a bigger role, it would make the event more rewarding for a wider range of players, instead of just turning into a spending war.
I’m not saying chests should give no points, but there has to be a balance where both investment and gameplay matter. Otherwise, it stops being exciting and just becomes a bidding contest.
Thanks for your well-written and considered opinion. I do see things differently but I can totally understand why you see it as you do.
From my perspective, I have witnessed years and years of LB runners trading gold in enormous quantities to gain advantage. So this really isn't anything new.
I believe that the forums community gets irritated when a new event follows the patterns of other events (where it's kinda expected that top runners will be spending big sums of gold to score the top spots); as each new event seems like an opportunity to wipe the slate and do something entirely new that makes the whole affair feel strictly egalitarian.
