Ahh.. I used to do this a while back. It's how I met thugimmortal too. I made my first friend, cheshirepoet, after she helped me out the same way, so I followed suite. I'd love to be of service :)

Also, another idea. You might wanna have an NPC as an 'AoA' explaining what AoAs do and how they can help.
On a side note-Helping players is alot of fun you get to meet a whole different group of people that are low levels and build friendships with them as you watch them grow to a higher level!
I'd love to be in on this
I mean, Im already doing this anyway when But it's cool to have a group that's out and about doing this
Yea it's gonna be a great program. I just have one suggestion, what about having ambassadors for each town? They would be locked at those lvls, I mean we have different ambassadors for different countries. Why not different towns? Ambassadors could be assigned towns depending on there favorite town or knowledge of a town and maps. But of course have a all around knowledge of the entire game. Also once the got to ao they could be on there own or the GoAs could take over idk guys just an idea.... Please post some feedback of the idea :)
I want to be a ambassador
So will the ambassadors need to be Capped at 10?
Some sort of announcement and reminder of what the AOAs will be, what they look like, what they do, etc, should be available.
IMO, it'd help prevent all those questions that are easily answered by "I'm an AOA, I do this, that, and so on.."
Maybe a new quest in FH that points out what the AOA will exactly look like.
i think this would be fun cause i gotto expirience having a low lvl friend and watch him build up over time and help him its a good feeling to know yeah i helpped him get to that lvl
This is a wonderful idea. I often run into players who are level 10 - 20 who have many questions about basic game mechanics, quests, skills, etc. They often look and ask for help. Its funny how often someone will ask, Can you help mr with a quest? And when I say, Yeah sure! They are like really, no one has been willing to help!
Again, wonderful idea! This just shows how wonderful our developers are!
Tapatalk'd from my PowerWashed Fascinate
Lol you got ninja'd by me ;) But i agree it will definitely reduce the questions like wow who are you? Can i be one? And so on.Quote:

cant wait i have been dreaming about this jk hopefully i get in good luck guys
Im in!!' :)
Maybe as the program evolves there can be Ambassadors as at every level (based on area requirements?) that can help with the transition. Certainly there is a difference in gameplay just between Dark Forest and Balefort alone!
Perhaps adding a sign in each town where players can request for assistance (maybe a lvl restriction)? Either a player listing of who needs help, (can message that person and or add them to your friends list) or a paging system where a random ambassador is contacted via pm with a different color to allow the ambassador to distinguish a normal pm from an ambassador request? An ambassador listing where new players can contact an ambassador from the roster?
Edit- Basically a PoC where ambassadors and new players can find each other easier.
Like the old guy at wal-mart! Love it!!
I think it would be really cool if a you guys were to install a tell function (ie: /help "question") that would come across to all ambassadors similar to the guild chat function. This way if someone had a question but wasn't able to locate an ambassador they would be able to send a tell and have available ambassadors be alerted ind of like a bat signal....lol
Any thoughts?
Yeah it was already suggested and I think /a 'Your question here' would be better and more simple. You have to look at the abuse of this though bunch of people could just spam the ambassadors too.
I used to do this with hunnyhelper (Level 5 using the Guardian Shield when it had high armor). Important thing to look for is players with unspent stats, though that might not be as big a problem anymore with the 'auto-leveling'.
This sounds great! I think this program will really create a even more positive experience for new players joining the community.
Yeh...lol... I saw after I posted there were some similiar ideas :) as for the spamming ambassadors, I think there are ways to prevent this ranging from restricting the /help tell to once every minute to allowing ambassadors to mute people abusing the help line. Also it must be considered that spamming is possible in many ways and sometimes we just have to trust people's ability to determine right from wrong :)
Another suggestion, cap the ambassadors at like 5 or 6, but make the ambassadors gear a little stronger (like effectively making them level 10). The reason for this suggestion is that they would not 'raise the gear/threat level'. If they did, for sub-10 players, having an ambassador in their game would make it harder, and also make it so they can not loot level specific items. Just a thought.
Ahh! Cant wait!!! Hope im in!
I would like to do this:)
When do we get to see the list :) I know I won't be on there, but I just can't wait to see who gets chosen :D
So erm how to apply?
Mod7 said probly wednesday they would announce the first batch (i think theres gonna be 5 to start)Quote:

PL has been needing something like this for some time. I can recall countless occasions where I have seen new players asking for help in Forest Haven and there has simply been players willing to provide them with some help or give some advice. As long as the people involved in the AoA are actively helping and don't just do it for a week or so and do no more to assist, the system should be a successful one.
I think it may make sense to give the ambassadors a few goodies that they can distribute to the newbies. I remember that one of the things that hooked me was that a few guys gave me their drops at the start and it really helped. Maybe each ambassador should have a set number of purple and pink items that they can give to the needy when they start?
ps: goodies that can't be sold on cs note.
You have no idea how excited I am for this. I will be applying as soon as an application goes up! I've been working my tail off in PL helping people, instead of leveling and etc. My boyfriend (who does not play the game) is even checking forums and etc for me about this program. Thanks Moderator7!
