I think mythic and arcane item unable to upgrade is better ...if we can upgrade item the next after this coming upgrade , do take some player 1 day to max lv n max gear just upgarde item don need to go farm and no fun to find new gear..
And if item can upgrade alot player have arcane weapon n mythic set so it will not be rare anymore ...

Too late for us all who invested , they need to go as planned with upgrade after nordor expansion. That's the only reason i and other bought it . so wouldn't be fair .
I think upgrade will involed platinum to upgrade item somehow..xd

Mythic helms and the Hooks will continue to be available in Locked Crates. Hold on to your mythic helms, we haven't unveiled what we're doing with these in the future but they will be worth having.
I wouldn't fret too much about thinking this is an issue right now based on perception of how it will stack up in the new content rather than where it currently lies in the bigger picture. It's very easy to get caught up in the "but it says it's level 26... and we will be 31" mentality and all we can do is ask you to look at the stats and green numbers compared to items in the next expansion, regardless of their usable level.

Sounds to me from reading this thread that those who have the mythic/arcane items want them to continue to be the best gear possible even in future expansions. Don't blame them as I would also want this as well since it would basically save me a lot of time/gold/plat. However as non owner of any of these and due to the rarity I never expect to have any them I would hope that they would be not upgradeable. This way, it would at least give me hope that I may be able to get better gear in the future.
Only gripes i have tbh is that they promised to not make arcane obselete i specifilly asked that during a chat with a dev last month if not for that false promise i wouldnt have invested heavily on acquiring it..
It wasn't false, it's the same promise that we're giving now. Arcane Hooks will still be the highest damage Rogue melee weapon after this expansion (Nordr) is released and Mythic helmets will still be equivalent to the best helmets. In addition, we have plans for the Mythics in the following expansion after Nordr, so even if you stop wearing them, I wouldn't get rid of them.Quote:
