You can turn those lvl 48 blues into powerful epics that beat the level 50+ greens. :D

Nope, they're just greens -_-'. Smithing is quite flawed ---

I'm good now, just need mage cloths and super armor scraps for master level green items, focusing on cloaks. I have cloaks for healers, mages and physical dps.
Keep sending those mage cloths if you can.. thanks! :D
EDIT:
I plan to buy all the recipes from the tailoring NPC. For now I find the most useful ones are the cloaks. Crafting one gives me 9k tailoring currency.
It needs 27 magecloth, 3 super armor scraps and a tailoring thread (which I can buy on my own). If you can send me your spares, I'll send you the cloak(s). :)
I can also craft Darkstripe Hood now, a blue level 45+ (i think 48 or 49) helm which can be converted to epic. Currently searching Sinskaald Rift's chests for the Darkstripe gloves... :)
It requires 1 colonel symbol, 30 moire cloth 2 advanced armor scraps (or 3, I forgot), plus the tailoring thread (magic one, color blue forgot its name).
I will post a pic soon but its stats are it gives wisdom (+16 or 18) and 8 mana regen per 8 seconds.
Red, it will be hard fighting an elite mob 4 levels higher, let alone an elite boss. Nobody is underestimating your Mage, but please stop being a showoff.
Check out my new lil buddy. Demon farming pays off :)

Btw, I feel so stupid right now. I had no idea I could check the stats of an item through the learned recipe.
So, all the blue recipes I have are for about lvl 40 and under. I farmed a few colonel symbols and was wondering if anyone knew if they're used in higher lvl gear as well? Cuz then I'll save them for later.
Grats. :) I've never been a fan of vanity pets, to me their gold, I'd rather have something useful out of them, to each his own I guess.
The Master level blues require General's Symbol. I can craft all the Superior (blue) robes at master level but they need 2 General's Symbols each.
I've also heard that they changed chest respawn timers. It's no longer 10 minutes, it's at least a couple of hours already.
I'm posting a thread in their forum asking for more transparency on changes.
I tried two spots in Rift, and both seemed changed. It might be possible that they changed only some spots though.
But I'm just more concerned on them making changes without actually letting people know. Most of the MMOs I've played have a semi-detailed changelog, even if they don't disclose the full details such as Chest timer changed from 10 min to X Hours, but instead something like Chest Respawn Rate increased significantly.
Yeah, I agree. Their communication is off. I dunno why they insist on doing everything through email instead of on their forums where everyone can see what's going on and give input. Instead, they have personal discussions with each person who has a problem. Seems less efficient.
Lol remember my rant about that same thing
About 100pgs back? It's soooo stupid!
Haha I know, all the responses are in the same format and seem like a copy and past job. The PL devs need to do a developer support convention and school all these dev noobs.
There goes my chance to find that elusive darkstripe glove recipe. :(
I think the possible changes in the game recently are due to economy. Lots of gold farmers capitalizing on selling gold cheaper than Gameloft sells them. I also think they don't want to inflate crafting much (insane crafting mats price in AH).
Anyone see that gold seller in greenmont? His name are just space i.e.: " " without the quotes.
@Les, Elly and Red
I guess this is the difference between a 3$ subscription and a 15$ one, and also the difference between Blizzard and Gameloft.
Anyone know how to advance in crafting level?
You will need to craft items with the recipes currently available to you to get currency based on the item you craft. You can see the amount of currency you in the Character Menu, Attributes tab and swipe to the leftmost part.
You can then use this currency to purchase higher level crafting at an NPC in Greenmont.

2) above the ONLY way?
