My character as of now
With no pet:
Current Equips:
Weapon: Frozen Sentinel of Will- Low on DPS but really great Armor
Helmet: Agile Berserker of Will
Armor: Agile Berserker of Savvy
Ring: Onyx Band of Security OR Glowstone Hoop of Savvy- Which takes away 23 Armor to add 54 HP
Necklace: Mystic Necklace of Force(5 str, 18 DEX, 1.27crit) OR Mithril Chain of Assault (16str, 8 DEX, 2.8 DMG)
*Might switch to Mithril chain, adds a lot of great stats for the decrease of only the dodge. Seems pretty good.*
Ps. I'm using Reggin's tank build, so I pretty much would like feedback from him.

A rogue might faint by looking at ur dps.
On a serious note, nice armor =) good tank build.
-
Lol Ik the weapon sucks, but high on armor. What can I say? :( At my Lvl with barely any cash, it's useful.
-
Did u bust any passives? Thyre good
-
looking at ur armour i suggest u use rally cry instead of jug nd also it gives buff to whole party. thus making it a real tank :-)
-
I am going to buy plat soon, to create a rogue toon and on top of that respec the skill points, most of it will consist of Reggins's build but I might swap jugg for rally cry as you suggested. Just to give it a try.

What gear are you using? Your health seems quite low. Armor is solid. Dodge could be a bit higher.
-
Updated, check out my gear ^_^ Pretty sure it isn't the best, but it darn sure isn't the worst :D

Here it is with no pet, though my pet only gives 15 str and 10 dex. So I lose 180 health and .5% dodge.
-
Here's my exact gear by the way... all level 20 pinks and less than 100k gold spent for the entire set.
Avalanche Veil of Will - 23 str 12 int 104 armor
Agile Berserker Helmet of Will - 25 dex 13 int 335 armor
Agile Berserker Armor of Savvy - 25 dex 9 int 1.94% dodge 460 armor
Runic Ring of Grace - 25 str 9 dex 1.94% dodge
Brilliant Bauble of Grace - 25 str 9 dex 1.94% dodge
-
In a perfect world where I had the time to actually have lots of gold, I would use the health and armor heavy juggernaut set, the same sword/shield, and the jewelry that adds 25 str 9 int 1.94% dodge. Would up my armor considerably, my health considerably, reduce my mana by 40, and my dodge by about 4%.
I still favor armor and health over dodge because it is pure reduction and health, but a dodge build was in my budget and my survivability is still quite impressive.

Tank gear in a modified Ugg tank build

Ash... why does your dps gear have higher dodge and health than your tank gear?
-
It's due to the loss of STR and DEX when switching to a Tanking Armor weapon. I need to itemize the rest of my gear better but am doing testing right now to figure out the proper balance.
I've been testing all night and having atleast 850 Armor 3k HP is more than enough for any Elite or mob pull in game. Using your 4 taunts plus my white damage high DPS causes much more threat than lower DPS and high armor/hp/dodge. Jugg and Horn more than make up for any big hits that a 100 more armor or 4% more dodge can do.
I love your build. I removed healing range from Horn but added damage to Axe Throw. I did this because a mage/rogue who does range DPS and pulls a mob off me should be smart enough to run towards me so that I can taunt without moving boss or the full pack of mobs. The range adds nothing to Taunt/Threat generation but the 15% damage increase to Axe Throw does increase Threat Generation. Using a DPS sword that procs a 100% crit chance is much better than a sword/shield that adds more armor that is wasted after 850 armor.
I teamed up with another tank since you werent around and he was in full Tank gear and your spec. He couldn't pull anything off me even with all 4 Taunts(he had 80DPS and 1000 armor with 2800HP and 8% dodge). Yes my DPS gear can be higher, but then I would lose too much Armor/HP/Dodge for only 10 more DPS with top DPS gear in game.
My only drawback is lack of Mana. I either need to pot for mana or use Nexus. I choose Nexus for Arcane Mana Flood, plus a bit of DPS/HP/Dodge and damage reduction. Best pet in game for a Balanced Tank.

Looking at all the builds, Reggin, your build looks awesome for PvP. Since PvP most likely wouldn't be in continuous fighting fashion (Re spawning times etc.), mana wouldn't be a problem. The con though is the lack of damage. Could you optimize a build that gives nice dodge and armor YET gives damage?

Using the same gears but Lv21 versions and using the same skill rotations, the elite tank build failed to pull aggro when i done with my guildmates.

Nice tanks guys, but I prefer koko for the extra arm, int pool and dodge chance. Mana might be a little problem, but since you can make easy money in this game, imho, I'm using mana pots when I'm running out of mana every time, and I'm not a saver. Got nearly 15% dodge with koko, and the best things is, when someone is in a party with malison. Nice dodge ftw.
