XP Event, Starter Bonus and Welcome Back Pack

Hi Sts,

I am sure you are aware of the current situation of the world with COVID-19. I know many people will have more time to play AL now that they got no school, work or other commitment.
I am coming back and I know many will too.

Please add some incentives for more players to come back at this time and play. More players means more money, better pvp and more activity in the game so the game will be great again. This could be huge for AL and you at this struggling time.

Consider adding things like
1. 2x XP for levels for the new players.
2. Some gold like 500g and 1 plat lol
3. Some legendary gears for the current level
4. Level Boosters at a discounted price
5. Make farmable items since you don't do it with locked like arcane shards, fossils, balanced bar, dragon bar, a

These are just examples. You do what you think would be beneficial.

A thorough short video tutorial(s) on how to use the quest log for daily xp rewards, and crafting menu found in players’ menu would be extremely beneficial. (While there is many great guides on the forum some players don’t take time to come to the forum to read guides)

I agree but AL isnt the only game in 2020. It is competing with many other games.

All good ideas, especially the tutorials. I realize AL developers are working hard, especially in the current pandemic situation but if it could be possible for us to purchase something more up to date with dragkin teeth please? 🙏 🙂

You have the option to pay a little plat and instant level to 71, and doing so support the game -.-
Ppl play hc and hit endgame lol.

+1, like lootable items, and I would love to see new players hit endgame.

EDIT: PS: I would also like the devs to make improvement on PvP and new stuff for the game that may make the game much more fun like the old days :)

@Avaree Half of the currency listed has not been relevant for about 2-3 years. As far as planar arena chests dropping a fossil goes, the chances are slim to none, I posted a video on YouTube of me opening 1,000 of them with nothing valuable other than a couple of ankhs and pinks, and the fossil is only about 300k, which as the current game is, might buy you a decent muffin. Yeah it is pretty easy to level right now, but the game heavily lacks on content for new players so they are rushed to endgame and by the time they are there they are burned out on the whole farming system. It also lacks a story, back in the 41-56 cap for me is where it truly shined, amazing cinematics, awesome cutscenes, and, the game was farming based, locks were amazingly fun to farm and seemingly never got old. Farming gold nowadays, and do not kill me for saying this, is litterally the only thing to do, and it just so happens to feel like a chore. Spacetimes Studios seems to be pulling away from this aspect of the game with the introduction of the Elite Vardan Gates, thank goodness, now we can only hope for more attention added on the loot table. Personally would love to see what is in store for Easter, I certainly have faith it will be absolutely stupendous! I have a lot of hope the game takes off from here.

Expected the game to take off during the new expansion but no.
It kept moving with same content repeating but just the nerfing and destruction of only few aspects of game which were active.
The trend of AL atm is pushing all players to endgame and have the new arcane weapons as a necessity .to afford them is to buy platinum.

Pvp is now : completely p2w.
Too many customization and gear equips leading to more budget.

I feel the new update that took out item swapping while combat is favourable to lower players in the aspect of they don't have to compete by investing in multiple sets to carry out normal combos which is again an agony to afford without loads of gold .

yea grinding xp is trash. Most pepople give up around 50's cuz they dont have a way to make gold. Grinding xp isnt that rewarding. Worst part is there is no one to farm xp with so the maps are like 4x harder which ends up people giving up

if you re read my post, I was commenting on OP thread about #5 as the OP wants these farmable. I basically commented that they are already farmable by listing where they are looted.

I've been saying that players at 50+ are leaving for ages now but until you've made a new character from scratch, no dipping into your main's stash, you will not understand just how difficult it is.
The tutorial is non-existent for today's game-play and so is decent loot. We all know it.
New players level up too quickly, by the time they have reached Dead City they have quests for Kraken, Nordr and Shuyal, Tindirin too in some cases.
The quests that were important when AL was young don't get finished so most of the story of Arlor is lost. The Watch, the Horn of Renew, Gleipnir quests and many more get overlooked.
The items that can be purchased with tokens and teeth aren't worth running the maps for. Snappy can be bought quite cheaply and nobody really wants the dragonite bar so what's the use of farming teeth?
Even some of the crafting items has been stopped and trying to loot an undead vial to craft Nekro is nigh on impossible.
Events seem to be targeted at level 70+ too.
I'm not complaining by the way, I'm just saying how it is. Maybe new things are coming to give more motivation for new players to stay the course.
In the meantime, stay indoors, stay safe and keep well. 🥰

P.S. because I can't edit, in my previous post I said new players level up too quickly and they do. I meant to add that maybe slow the levelling down up to level 40 and maybe make the levelling easier further on. I'm sure someone will come up with a good idea on how to make this work.

In contrary many regulars are offline nowdays. Network congestion due to pandemic are affecting most of the single server online game experiences so a lot of players switched to offline games. Sure kids are home but adults are too and #workfromhome and #learnfromhome is a thing.

Thankfully players who been living in arlor are not affected by anything of real world.
Players who login only for merching, chatting and standing idle dont need any incentives or motivation.

New players who play the game for the 1st time have altogether different issues and there is a dedicated thread on it but I am yet to see devs give a crap about it.

I really like the content of this thread. Allow the new players to get the real excitement and trill about the story and everything. Some of them stopped the game cause they are troubled with the idea of not having high gold, good loots and many more.
