Just a thought for helping mages in pve/pvp

I have been thinking about this for the longest time.why not let mages shield skill(Arcane shield)last the entire duration instead of breaking/poppin ? Rogues are one shotting anyways and tanks breaking mages easy too so why not give us our entire shield. This way mages dont have to rely on two stats (str/int) and just focus on pure int.pvp is dead because rogue and tanks running around in speed sets nuking everything in site like op gazelles and rhinos while mages getting squashed like dung beetles lol xD.

Also i dunno if its just me or server lag or something bugged up but some times when casting shield it does not cast at all,just goes throught the motion as if i were casting it but nada? Im not stunned or feared or frozen. so i dont get why the skill fails so much.

I did wait if the new gears will change something but its not working either. Rogues are op against any class in PvP . mages are getting killed by a way undergeared rogues nowadays.

I know class balance is hard to achieve but at least solve this spawn killing thing.

But at the same time I think rogues need proc buff at weapons! I am pvping with rogue and pveing with mage as rogues are pretty much useless at m5+6

If u are talking about the new mythic balanced daggers yes i totally agree they need a huge fixin aswell as the procs are no bueno.

if you ask me i wont be able to tell you how many times i got 1-hit killed by aimed before my shield popped up even tough i released the skill . it feels like there is a gap of around 0.5s between you using the skill and shield actually popping up . If you get stunned during that time shield will fail ( or any other similar effect ). Also i think thats the reason mages struggle againsts speed set rogs , while im playing on moblie by the time i see the enemy comming it will be to late cuz shield simply wont appear in time to save me .

Ya I get it.

I have noticed arcane shield fail sometime I don't know why. And it only saves you for 2-3 sec after that mages are dead meat.

I would love to see that shield stays longer whole duration but like last expansion rogues were saying to nerf arcane shield and same thing will repeat lol.

Anyways I always support anything that makes mages stronger.

Or we could just keep the game dead as it is.log in to just log off in 10minutes after seeing how broken it is.

I haven't been in PvP in almost a year, but mages in PvE are awesome. The best party in Masoleum is 4 mages. The speed at which a party full of mages can flatten the mobs is crazy.

I guess it doesn't translate into PvP. Since I quit PvP, I've found myself much happier playing AL. I just hope STS continues to add tons of new PvE content and events as they have over the past year.

The only thing i find tough is the lag in pve along with skill fails while not being stunnd/feared. I agree 100% mages are awesome in pve ! I only pve on my mage as the wep procs we have are amazing(wilfire/immo staff for mobs & drag staff for bosses)

Before wildfire was fixed in pvp (it was ignoring all armor) it was insane! Lol. And immortal corruption isnt so good in pvp since u cant really banish players xp. The dragon staff was pretty good for support when i used it in pvp but only for the tanks hehe.all these are pve procs pretty much.

Agreed. Shield fails in PvP and PvE even when there is no lag skill just don't appear. Pretty Rip off when you're pulling or are in mid of clash and cast shield to rush rogues lol.

Shield only fails by lag or stun, if u get stunned and u try to activate the shield skill, yes it will fail.. lol.. but if u keep you finger at the skill, it won't fail ... As far as I know I never got my shield failed in clashes or PvE by all of sudden.. Only by stun in PvP and lag in PvE.. or Just time ;-;

Images used to pvp much better when it was level 41 cap since elon gun with 3 para was gorgeous and don't forget the process of rooting and free kills lol. Level 46 was semi OK butwarriors kind of dominated with fire swords, 56 felt like it was semi balance but 61 rouges are just 2 skill combo back at it again lol. Mage for pvp needs a whole rework since rouges can block the stun with nekro and warriors pretty much can heal much faster.

Nerf the smurfs!

It's the aimed shot that needs rework. But should be done very carefully. They lowered all damage in pvp before, but what's the use of it now at 61 cap when gear damage increased 2x?

I think the problem is how much the shield can absorb damage. Rogues do not have skills that help reduce a lot of damage, as mage and warrior have. That's why they are compensated with damage in the aimed skill.

Shield only saves you only for 3-4 seconds when vs with rogues after that shield will break.

Mage is the weakest class now.

Shield just saves U til the DMG Protection is over im my opinion mages should get a arcane shield buff...

I feel arcane shield should last the entire duration it says in the skill description.this would also help with diversifying builds a bit more instead of having to worry about how much str u have for a stronger shield.Sorcerers could just focus on Int instead ^^

I really don't see the point.. why buff? I'm also playing mage since 2012, but it really isn't a must to buff mages with whatever.. By making us mages more "OP" you'll create same effect as cap 56.. it will be bored again, way to easy PvP, ppl will stack mages and rogue's and tanks will cry at forums again.

Every decent mage IMO can beat a rogue, by smart, use walls and hide a lot. There's no need to buff us mages.. lol even tho in PvE I run smoothly at mage.. altho I'm using lv10 Armor, Ring, Belt in m6.. Just order your skills and work at your timing.

Lv 46 cap wasn't the greatest one for mage either, but still mages were able to kill Rogues, so is at lv61!

Keep the way of balance like this so u got some advantage, if you buff u'll lose that advantage and eventually lose your "Skills".

How would making a pure int build the obvious choice be diversifying builds? It would be doing the exact opposite.

Thats my perspective on 61 pvp.

I am not giving up on my mage as so many already did. I will say again Rogue is the OP class now and mage is the weakest. STS has to do something about this spawn kill thing. And even if i get a speed set i will end up dead while chasing. Only cowards do that run and hide lol. It was much better when clashing in TDM forest when we could use trollie. TDM blood beach is getting boring. Revive forest make trollie strong plz. And stop spawn killing.

Think back abt cap 46, we mages were also "fvked up". Lots of cry abt tanks and rogues.. and how come some mages were still able to farm rogues and tanks??? It's not the char it's the player.

It's true Rogue aim is OP but.. same counted back at 46 for arcane sword proc and bomb proc of glintstone bow.. LOL

That's endgame dude. Come to twinks and MAGES In clashes are op. They're like mini tanks but with twice the dmg.and bcs of armour awakens now everybody takes forever to kill.I can't say the number of times mage has saved my rogues a$$ by absorbing the dmg himself even when he doesn't have a shield on. A Mage with 900 armour and 2.3k health is more dangerous than a tank at 13/14 lvls

I am not complaining about the clash. I guess mages are still needed for mana and damage in clash. I am just not happy how op rogues are even though they are undergeared than mages on duels.

And I am not asking for buff I know mages day will come again.

I am just complaining about the spawn kills. I will be very happy if STS do something to stop these spawn killer Speed set rogues.
