Reroll/luck and event drops

STS - Does reroll actually prevent you from looting an arcane belt/artifact from the event boss? Lots of people get mad when someone uses Hisha AA and it would help if we can get confirmation.

Luck making things worse seems pretty much the opposite of what luck should do :)

OP I am glad you posted this. It's a valid & good question considering I was thinking Arcane pets were the most effective to use for AF event.

I wonder could you get better loot if you didn't reroll at all or does reroll automatically give better loot? It really doesn't seem that way.

I realize your asking for dev input (& I hope they do), but I can answer about how the devs structured pl drops as an example of what they likely did here.
In pl they made separate drop tables where some types of drops like legendary could be rerolled, and the most rare types of drops could not reroll.

I think players assume luck pets hurt their chance because they never see one after a reroll and don’t know that luck table isn’t affected buy rerolls.

Luck is irrelevant in the case of some rare drops, but not an impediment.

I think system just randomly give loots .. Since then and now i see many who doesnt hav luck and still loot items (i ask if they wearing anything with luck) some also looting wearing luck set .... System randomly give loots i guess, wearing luck set or no luck set is the same 👌

During this year's valentines event a dev confirmed that set pieces (best drop of the event) are in different loot table and isn't affected by luck. Can be the same with the arcanes in this event too. Hopefully a dev will cofirm and remove all doubts, as some people are getting very toxic over this in event map.

I don't understand why there are so called 'luck' item in game when luck is never part of the gameplay. IMO, this is the biggest scam by sts.

I can believe that considering I wear luck & reroll gear/pets to help. Doesn't seem to make much a difference if any at all. Except with energy drops...

Reminds me of the old "open all chest for good boss loot" and "don't open any chests for good boss loot". Or the "must kill boss naked for best drops".

I can see where if luck has nothing to do w/ the desired drops, then maximizing damage would be best. However, it does not mean luck hurts drops.

Different loot table for items till mythic and then different for heroic and arcane. One rerolls, one doesn't.
I would still love to have a dev approve on this because a lot of people are spreading rumors in the game how using luck is bad for drops.

How it works currently:

Mobs can have multiple loot tables. Rerolls happen independently within each loot table.

If you get an item from a loot table, reroll behavior is different based on the rarity of the item from your initial roll.

common, rare, epic: If there are items of the next better rarity in the table, you get one of those.
legendary, mythic, set, spirit, vanity: Roll again on all items in the loot table. If the resulting item is a better rarity, you get that instead.
arcane, heroic: no reroll, you get the initial item.

So in other words if it was meant to drop for you it's going to happen and a heroic/ arcane does not reroll no matter what.

And that means pink stuff re-rolls into Set stuff? I thought Legendary was in the group of Common/Rare/Epic before.

The way Mr. Futumsh says it means that it will just re-roll rarities from the same group. So basically a Mythic item can re-roll into Set or Vanity, but not Arcane or Heroic.

That's correct, though unlikely, since unless there's nothing less rare than mythic in the loot table, the second roll probably won't be better than the first, so it would stick with the first.

No, for the example of the first roll being a mythic, it rerolls from everything. If the second roll happens to be an arcane, you get an arcane. It's more likely that the second roll won't be better though, since the better rarity stuff is... more rare.

So that means that any item can re-roll into Set for example? And any item can re-roll into Arcane?

What about the items that go in the satchel? Like in this event, do legendary amounts of Vales roll into Arcane?

Edit 2: What about the drop chances of Vials in Arena Chests and Elite Shuyal, Tindirin, and Planar Tombs? How can a Rare item be more rare than a Mythic item?

Individual items or item groups can also have different drop rates. It's possible for a 'rare' item to have a lower chance to drop than an 'epic' item, or less of a chance than another rare item in the same loot table. Also, most of the potential vial drops are from a loot table that only has the vial, which wouldn't be affected by rerolls.

Some people were crying that their arcane was re-rolling into vanity. Thanks for the clarification to remove such rumors. By the way, does spirit items drop somewhere? Or is it for the future?

It makes complete sense except for Epic -> Legendary. If a player loots Epic, does it jump to the next table and loot Legendary instead?

Reason is because I noticed I started getting a lot more Pulley crates when I equipped luck gear for the boss in the Arcanite Fields event, where before I was getting very few.

As described above, if the originally rolled item was an epic, and the loot table has a legendary, if a reroll is triggered you get a legendary.

We actually did the " need to be naked for better loot " on farming Arcane chest lv.16 xD Brings back memorries i missed those days ^^

But, this is what i don't understand:
(1) ONE mob has MANY loot tables
, OR,
(2) ONE mob has ONE loot table but different mobs has different loot tables?

which is correct - (1) or (2) ?

And, if the correct is (1), then: If reroll is chosen to be applied, then the reroll can get an item from all of the many loot tables for that mob, OR, only from the initial loot table form which was the initial item?

A mob can have more than one loot table, and they are rolled independently.

For each of a mob's loot tables, it checks the chance that you should get an item. If you should, it rolls the item, then if a reroll is triggered, it follows the reroll rules as previously described for that item, using only that loot table.

So basically we could get a re-roll on both items? And if that happens, do we see the re-roll message twice or does one line refer to both rolls (because they dropped from the same guy)?

Nightmare raid boss drops 2 items normally, 3 if dream elix is running and I saw multiple re-roll messages there

why there are no rerolls I can get artifacts, I'm sure a random cluster system specifically gives you mysterious items on certain days and hours, I think there is something we can get without luck and have to use luck, considering this game has many tricks and tips

yeah right they said about reroll, why can I get special items without reroll from luck, I'm sure it falls randomly on certain hours and days

I don't want to talk it's a system error in the game, but if it's a bug why they don't review the luck system, and I don't want to say the reroll isn't working, let's just discuss it right :)
