I made characters for all 3 classes but will be focusing on the Operative...something about single-target high damage (coughPLarcher) makes this class very, very leet

I can see you with your mass load of operative guides, now... & Yanis with a pink guide before the games actually even released...
So jealous of you guys...
Edit: How similar is the operative in Star Legends to an archer in PL?
Samhayne is an operative! I thought about it but then I thought who needs two tiny guns when you can have one BIG gun. Then I made my second character a Jedi... I mean engineer because they can use force lightning... i mean shock gloves.
waaaaahhhhhhhhhhh
Come on, deets! How awesome is it???
I haven't played long enough to comb through the skills and how stat distribution works to make a judgment on how similar Ops are to Archers, but I'll do all that later this week, probably around Friday. And the game's pretty well designed! Battle system is the same as PL's system and a lot of the UIs (user interfaces) are the same.
I made one of each. Don't know which one I'll focus on yet.
where you get the game i cant find it in the vcast
Manually enter and search for "Star Legends"
made one of each but focusing on operative.
Level 11 Operative here(: great class. Pure dex right now.
lol ill be doing free tapjoy offers all this week for 15 plat so i can buy 3 slots...but i think ill like commando best.
*sobs quietly in corner, hugging IOS devices* "Soon, my minions, soon."
gGRRRRRAAAWWWR im so being an operative lol i love dps single target then a engineer
hmmm maybe a engineer. Hows the Engineer in battle? In other games sometimes monks own.
I plan on lvling an operative as soon as my commando is maxed (almost lvl 12). Good to see you guys in game!
What news article?
Having loads of fun with my operative Newt =)
So are the 3 classes fundamentally the same?
Commando; bear; best survivability; lowest damage output
Operative; bird; best single target damage, moderate survivability
Engineer; mage; best aoe; support unit; worst survivability
From what I see, int/dex/str appear to be similar
I'm gonna have all three!
Our main stat is dex and we have the fabled Break Armor skill (which also increases our crit rate at the same time). So yes, ops are archers.
Actually mages now in 51-55 have better armor then archers and in the star legends it said commando have the strongest armor operative has weak and engineer moderate
Anybody find a "combo" yet? I would recommend going to a rifle over dual pistols as the pistols do little damage against bosses. Think recurve vs. dagger. Dual pistols may have a higher dps, but lower damage after armor.
The first skill seems to be the main damage skill.
Second skill is mostly knockback, and often knocks the target down. Very handy when you have multiple operatives to rotate who uses this skill. In a group of 4 operatives and one commando, we managed to keep a lower level boss knocked down almost the entire fight.
Third skill is a regen skill. Best used right AFTER a fight is over, while opening chests and running to the next enemy group. Try not to use it before or during a fight as it lowers your damage for a short time.
Fourth skill is the break armor, and says that it also gives operatives increased chance for critical hit.
The Evasion type buff only lasts 6 seconds with a 30 second cooldown? It sort of helps if you use it right before a big group. You can only map 8 skills, so I might skip this and just go with better debuffs and damage skills.
Pure dex seems to add a ton of health and mana, decent hit, but not much crit or dodge.
I got one of each class, played all 3, but I seem to prefer Operative, so thats gonna be my main.
Lvl 21 now.
Im excited to start my operative. :) im jealous of all you who chose that to class first.
All my SL charcter names are the same "type" as my PL ones, so GIMBOID is an Opp.
Im operative Ebalere.
Operative for me. Just was lookin at armor mainly helmets at the moment I'm hoping operatives have a full helmet like commandos. And the wing like body armor hope its not to fairy looking
I've redistributed the skills on my lvl 20 Opp to maximize 2 damage spells, the primary de-buffer, and the dodge skill. My skill regen time between shots is excruciatingly long, but its been very effective so far. There is a lot of room for unique skill sets in this new game.
I doubt that I will stray from my PL ways. Archer I was and archer... erm, operative, I will stay.
Otu is an op, feel free to add me -- give me a hint it's you or I might not accept
the operative in my opinion, is more similar to a bow bear.
other then that, i'm at lvl 10 almost 11. Mrknify :P reserved lols. now i've experemented with class abilities and come up with this combo,
Mind wrack 3 (works with crit yet to see the damage bonus.)
Amplify pain 5 (debuff armour and ups crit.) the armour is target the crit is your buff.
psychic lash 1 (still testing out.... root and dots... its a bit iffy at this level, but)
now the goal is a high crit to work with the bonus crit damage but in dynastar lvls 2 crits to kill a mob, and in cycorp 3 crits to kill the average mob. i toss the Psychic Lash to one back up out of range and work the other. i'm thinking Lurch would be better for this as more damage then the total dot.
Op was my first char and I plan on keepin it as my main. I chose op when I started cuz I was thinking SL would be WAY more like PL (boy was I wrong) and I have gotten used to using dex weps in PL. I Love my op, ive tried out both other classes and commando I didnt like at all, engineer was fine but I kept dying lol, the only one I could stay alive as was op so that seemed to be the only sensible choice.
OPERATIVE FLAMETHROWER FTW!!!
