Be the Change You Want to See
A wise and famous president once said, "Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country."
It may sound like a simple statement but there's a lot wound up in there. And, ironically enough, it is exactly what I believe our Pocket Legends community needs to hear. How many times have we all complained about what the devs are doing to ruin the community? How many times have we asked them to change this or that to bring about a certain result to help us? How many times have we pointed a finger while four fingers are pointing back at us? (As the expression goes.)
Well, it's time for that to stop. From what I can see, our community has recently taken a huge leap in the right direction. Not only has the community began coming together, but the devs have also given us some serious attention. My goal with this thread is to take this leap in the right direction a tad bit further.
Today I was in Balefort Castle merching up a fortune for myself when I saw the usual "I can double your money" crap. So, naturally I decided it was an opportune time to troll this person. I began to say something like "Oh! I have two million you can double!" Then I stopped. Normally the advice you'll receive in game and on these forums when it comes to scammers is "Mute, ignore, report and move on, etc." However, I had a better idea. Why not try to help the guy out? After all, if he's trying to scam, there's gotta be something he wants. No one just scams for the sheer heck of it. (Not to my knowledge anyways.) So I began asking what it was he needed. He began explaining to me that there were two particular items he needed. These items together totaled 130k. That not very much money. In fact, I thought about just buying the items for him. However, that is never a good solution. "You can give a man a fish and feed him for a day, or you can teach a man to fish and feed him for a lifetime."
I decided I'd try and help him out. Let him know the best way to make money. So I gave him a head start and told him where to farm the gear he needed.

See that? "I will stop scamming." Just a minute or two before him and I had this conversation and I was trying to troll him he was constantly denying that it was a scam. Now look. I decided to genuinely help out and he receives it very well.
Why am I posting this? Is it to pat myself on the back for doing the right thing? No. I'm posting this to show that I'm taking this whole "Improving the community" thing seriously. I'm being the change that I want to see in Pocket Legends.
It doesn't stop there, though. Now it's your turn. Go do something nice and then post it on this thread. Let's see just how many people we can help instead of wasting our time on our 43rd twink or 100th gold cap. Heck, with this thread you'll even get praised for helping out! What's better than that, right? What are you waiting for? Go!
