Planar Pendant vs. Level 54 Arcane Pendant

For this post, I will go in depth and analyze the Planar Pendant against every single variation of the Level 54 Arcane Pendant (assuming that they're clean). Also,as a side note, I will unfortunately leave out the damage stat because the way that is calculated is too complex for me to do, so I will only take a look at the other stats. Sorry! Also, I will also calculate stats based on the stat mechanics of each class. The stats in parenthesis is the stat difference between the Arcane Pendant and the Planar Pendant.

Now that I've finally got that out of the way (that sure took a very long time to do), lets finally move on to the procs!

Planar Pendant Proc (I found this info from an old post, so I'm not sure if this is actually correct)

-Mage: Chance on taking damage to knock back enemies, and spawn 3 crystals. Crystals remove status effects and provide +5.00 Damage and +15 INT for 10 seconds.

-Rogue: Chance on taking damage to knock back enemies and spawn 3 crystals. Crystals provide +15 DEX, +15% Crit, and +15% Dodge for 10 seconds.

-Tank: Chance on taking Damage to knock back enemies and spawn 3 crystals. Crystals provide +15 Damage, +25% Health, +50 Armor, and regenerates 0.5 health every second for 10 seconds.

Cryoworm Heart Proc
Chance on taking damage to poison (called inflicted) attacker,stunning the attacker (if non-boss or non-player) and causing the attacker to take damage every second and healing you on tick for 4 seconds. This will usually heal and cause about 1200-1400 damage (in total,so that's 300-350 per tick).

Anyways, that is it! I will let you decide which pendant is better, but here is my opinion. :)

The Planar Pendant dominates the Cryoworm Heart pendant in every possible way. Here is something that is a bit embarrassing about the Cryoworm Heart. There is another pendant that also has a poison on hit proc as well (it doesn't have heal nor stun). This is the Blighted Amulet from the 2014 Goblin Event. It is a Legendary pendant. The proc does less damage compared to the Cryoworm Heart, but can proc super duper often giving a big advantage over the Cryoworm Heart proc wise. I'm not saying that the pendant is bad because it really can make a good and easier to obtain alternative if you don't have the Planar Pendant and the proc is bearable, but should be tweaked a bit. The proc chance is very low. I understand that because you will pretty much be invincible if it procs often, though I think that the proc needs these changes:
1.Poison should spread to enemies because 1 enemy is just not saving my behind.
2.If the proc chance gets buffed (preferably to 10%-25% of the Blighted Amulet's proc's chance),and a spread is implemented,allow the heal only heal based on the DoT of the enemy that first got affected by Inflicted.
3.Extend duration to 10 seconds. 4 seconds isn't enough.

I really see HUGE potential in this pendant. I really want it to live up to the 'Arcane' title and I understand that StS wants to keep the power curve of items stable, but its just a bit too low right now.

i think the arcane pendant is only good for mage because :
1 : its add about 20 damage .. and 29 dps.. put some jewel and can be better
2 : we get more crit
3 : the lose of str for who using the str type is not that big you only lose 3 str points.. u can put forti str and make it better ( this only for who using shield )
- but the hp loose is about 120-150 hp loose.. just Exquisite nature and won't that big of health losing
for me if i have the recipe i will go for the arcane pendant c:

I think you didn't count the extra +20 to main attribute given by the planar pendant.

Do you know if the proc on 54 pendant is environmental or derived from the player?

This helps determine things like granting a kill from the poison, Assist in proc for the aegis, assist in proc for the arlor band or vulnerable to curse in PvP.

I have done some testing and the proc can activate the egg ring's proc. So, it is derived from the player. :)

In it's current state, the arcane pendant doesn't compare to any planar pendant with 3 eyes or 1 para 2 eyes

So far I have been using the Arcane pendant and I have to say it is not as great as I hoped to be even with the recent buff. It's still nothing close to the planar pendant. It still doesn't give that special reason to switch over from planar pendant. The proc is not happening often enough especially as a rogue with all that dodge, by the time it proc which is rarely, it has no significant effect to the enemy at all. especially on lower map or rather even the end game map like normal underhul, the mob are dead before the proc even does anything. Also the proc INFLICTION only seem to work on the mob that actually attacking you. So basically in a real situation, when you getting attacked by 10 mobs and it proc only 1/10 mob get INFLICTED xD while of course

The planar pendant proc instantly knock back and stun all mob around you when it proc which then allow you to pick up those crystal to get a huge buff to help kill those mob faster while they are stunned.

That's what I've experienced since I been using it since it was released.

With the same jewels, I gain a measly 20 damage with the str version. If I had the Int version, it's 25 damage over the Planar pendent. Mind you the poison rarely procs. Tested in the bard story and I can literally stand there for minutes before it even procs once and only to that one mob. It's as good as junk.

another useless equipment, they are making new arcane items less op than predecessor it seems to make things more 'balance'..

I also have to admit after testing the new arcane pendant extensively it is pretty subpar. They need to increase the proc rate. They also need to add armor to the pendant to give it an edge. Please consider rebuffing this arcane pendant.

I bought this thinking it would proc often and to every mob. Sadly its not even close to this

They should buff it more!

You mean planar pendant? If yes then you still could craft it if you have the recipe. The recipe is very cheap now just search recipe in cs and you'll found it. You need 120 ancient planar essence, 1dragonite bar, mythic planar relic( 250k ), rutger essence, frostir essence, glob essence. You could find boss essence in planar arena, but remember to bring your relic or you wont granted any boss essence

Gave up on the cryoworm pendant today. It's not bad as far as more stats for damage and the poison/heal is working as intended. The problem I found is that you just don't feel it working. At least who the Planar pendant when it procs, you feel like a God and the push back stun is nice! Jewel power up afterwards is a little more fun as well.
