GUIDE Level 85 cap - Zone Rifts

Overview

85 cap was released in four stages;
1) Zone Rifts
2) Zone Rift Tickets
3) Ok'Tal Towne
4) Ok'Tal Elite Pets

Recommendations are to buy an Ok'tal Pet from the consignment store to have access to Ok'Tal Towne. If not towne access is for 80+ toons only.


Levelling Up

To level up extremely quickly, purchase an Ok'tal pet that grants you Prison quest portal access: Lat.ko or Peri.Winkle.

- Ensure you are level 73+
- Equip the Ok'Tal pet
- Enter the quest portal
- And run Prison map repeatedly.

It helps running the map with a Archer/Bird class toon to break the shield of the Warlord. The Warlord boss offers experience orbs up to 20,000 xp in the The Warlord's Prison map,

For toons under level 73 purchase "Access All Game Instances(5 min)" elixir, this grants lower level toons access to this map with the pet.


Farming

When your level is under 85, farming the Warlord Prison Starship maps gives you experience points only.

The Ok'Tal Rax Portal in towne grants you access to "The Planet Ok'Tal" map, this map drops crafting material and level 85 gear and equipment even when not level 85. In previous caps you have to be that capped level to drop those items.

Once you achieve cap, level 85:

- "The Warlord's Prison map" is best for crafting materials and level 85 gear and equipment to craft one and two handed weapons. The use of elite Ok'Tal pets, Peri.winkle and Lat.ko will give you permanent quest portal access.
- "The Planet Ok'tal" map is best for Ok'tal helms and armors as well as elite Ok'tal crafting items.


Understanding the new maps

These new maps can be seen in "The Overlord Returns Campaign".

There are four new maps:
1. The Warlord's Prison
2. The Warlord's Dungeon
3. The Warlord's Maze
4. Planet Ok'tal



1) Zone Rifts


There is no way to permanently unlock these stages. You are granted access to these maps through Zone Rifts. The Zone Rifts allow you to hop aboard an alien warship that travels between Alterra and the Ok'Tal nether-realm.
Zone Rifts have a chance of opening up in any Campaign and PVE map when a mob is killed. Using the shadow hunter elixir increases the rate of Zone Rifts appearing.

When you enter a Zone Rift, depending on what elixir you are using, there are 3 travel options, 3 classes to choose from to enter the Prison Starship. These are the first three maps.

Map 1: The Warlord's Prison
First Class
Those using Shadow Hunter elixir, 75 plat per 30 minutes.
High xp orbs drop and there is the good chance to loot equipment and crafting material.
Fewest enemies but a much, much higher chance of loot from all monsters in the zone.

Map 2: The Warlord's Dungeon
Coach Class
Those using Shadow Essence elixir, 5 plat per 1 hour
Xp orbs drop and there is a slight chance to loot equipment and crafting material.
This means fewer enemies and a greater chance for loot from mini bosses and the boss.

Map 3: The Warlord's Maze
Stow-away
No elixir is needed, free to enter
Xp orbs drop and there is a rare chance to loot equipment and crafting material.
This means more enemies aboard the Prison Starship and 'okay' chances at loot.

These maps are essentially xp maps, the monsters in these maps can drop XP orbs. It is highly recommended to purchase elixirs to increase the drop rate better xp orbs.
The equipment drops are rare in Warlord's Maze, drop sparingly in Warlord's Dungeon and have a better chance of dropping in Warlord's Prison. Crafting materials drop regularly and well in these maps.

These maps are scaled to Level 73+, any level toon over 73 can enter and receive huge amounts of xp.

There are coloured xp orbs:
- yellow 50 xp, 100 xp
- green 250 xp
- blue 500xp
- magenta 1,000 xp , 5000 xp, 10,000 xp, 20,000 xp

Map 4: Planet Ok'Tal. This map is for levels 73+ toons.
You fight monsters and the boss "Ok'Tal Rax". This stage drops the equipment loot, new gear and scaled 85 gear as well as crafting material to craft Ok'Tal weapons and shields.

Enter the map using the portal in Oktal Towne : OK'Tal Rax

There is no option to host, join, invite or boot for these new maps if you go through a Zone Rift.

Going through the Rift Zone allows you to enter and complete two maps. You must complete any map 1, 2 or 3, to reach the last map Planet Ok'Tal. You do not have open all maps 1 to 3 to reach map 4.

Advantages of purchasing Shadow Hunter elixir:
- Better chance of opening a Rift Zone.
- Higher xp orbs drop, the 20,000 xp orb drops
- Fewer enemies in Map 1: The Warlord's Prison.
- Greater chance of better loot from all monsters in the zone.

It is recommended to gather a party of friends using the same elixir. Be it none, shadow essence elixir or shadow hunter elixir. Now get together as a party and open a Rift Zone. This is the best way of entering the Prison Starship together, ensure that you all join the same Rift Zone simultaneously.



2) Zone Rift Tickets


There is a faster way to gain access to these maps 1 to 3 using plat alone. And the shadow hunter elixir and shadow essence elixir is not required.
When you purchase these First class, Coach class or Stow away tickets you gain access to host the maps accordingly just once.

Map 1: The Warlord's Prison
5 Plat : First Class Ticket - Level 80

Map 2: The Warlord's Dungeon
5 Plat : Coach Class Ticket - Level 70

Map 3: The Warlord's Maze
2 Plat : Stow Away Ticket - Level 25



3) Ok'Tal Towne



To access this town, go to Shadow Caves towne and enter the portal. Please note this town has a level requirement of 80, to enjoy the new features in this towne you must use an alt/toon that is level 80 or over.

Once you enter the portal you have two options. Use a level 80 charcacter to access this Ok'Tal Towne, or using an elite Ok'Tal pet and Lil'loko the level 100 cap pet awarded to grant you access to toons lower than level 80. (The elite Ok'Tal pets are explained further below)


There are five NPC's in Planet Ok'Tal towne.





A. Riska : quests

Talk to the quest NPC Riska to complete daily quests. The quests give you limited access to maps 1 to 3 and the reward of crafting materials needed to craft the Ok'Tal weapons and shields.
The quest requirements are for level 80+ toons, once you complete quests, you can not re-enter the quest portal for that day. When you enter the Warlord's Starship, the quest is complete and the reward is automatically placed into your stash.

The quests can now be completed every three (3) days.

These weapons are CLASS based, meaning each class has two (2) special weapons only they can equip.

4) Ok'Tal Elite Pets


E. Beast Master

The Beast Master sells exclusive Ok'Tal pets for platinum. These Ok'Tal elite pets can be stashed and traded and give you permanent quest portal access to the Warlords Starship maps 1 to 2 (Warlord's Prison and Warlord's Dungeon) accordingly, as well as crazy additional damage and/or armor in Ok'Tal maps.

Equipping these elite Ok'tal pets on lower level toons grants you access to Ok'Tal Planet towne, however, it does not allow you to enter the Quest Portal or the Ok'Tal Rax portal in towne.

There is no way to host Map 1 and 2 from the map screen.

Another new feature is being able to enter the portal to Ok'Tal Planet, which you can access map 4: Planet Ok'Tal indefinitely. You no longer need to open a rift and complete map 1, 2 or 3 to reach this map or buy a Zone Rift ticket to gain access to map 1 to 3.
However, again you can not host, invite, join nor boot anyone from this map once you have entered.



5) Oktal Sets level 85 gear

Ok'Tal sets are very unique, the best elite items only require the helm and armor alone with the cap level 85 ring "The Warlord's Prison Band" to give a set bonus, the sky blue halo above your head indicates a set bonus.

These Ok'Tal items are best farmed in the Planet Ok'Tal map from the boss Ok'Tal Rax. You enter the portal "OkTal Rax" in Ok'Tal towne to enter this map.

You should add info about drop rates for all maps. You may not be aware of this, but all maps drop elites. However, Planet Ok'tal may be the only map to drop Ok'tal items. I'm not sure yet.

Maze has the lowest chance of dropping items, Dungeon has a decent chance of dropping items, and Prison and Planet Ok'tal have the best chance of dropping items.

After a response from Cino they are scaled to lower levels the Prison Starship maps 1 to 3. Lower levels will get a huge amount of xp gain from these maps.

He did mention that Map 4: Planet Ok'Tal is much harder so that remains 73+ level toons.

Map 1: The Warlord's Prison.
Travel: First Class

Ensure you gather a team of five members, at least one member must be avian/bird class (to break the shield of the first boss "Warlord").

You all need Shadow Hunter Elixir, 75 plat for 30 mins.
You all have to enter the Zone Rift simultaneously, to enter the Prison Starship at the same time. If you get split from the team, complete both maps 1 and 4. Tell your team members to re-group in town when they are ready to go hunting for a new Zone Rift.

Or
Gather a team of 5 (can be less), and purchase the First Class Ticket for 50 plat. This allows you to host map 1: The Warlord's Prison one time. Continue to puchase access to this map each run.

The Warlord's Prison map can be opened by going into the quest portal in Oktal Towne by wearing Dev Dragon, Latko or Periwinkle pets.
