Hi guys. I'm new to lvl 10 pvp (ninja duck just started me out yesterday XD), and I was wondering... Is kiting in pvp "cheating" or "wrong"? Whenever I win people always shout "kiting noob" and then either rush me like 5 times or rage quit the game.

Im a bear. :p
Kiting is a strategy, if they can't face losing then ur doing a good job IMO ;) I know ninjaduck kites, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with it, there's always a counter-strategy to every strategy, u just gotta know how to kill kiters. KITING IS DEFINITELY NOT WRONG! xD
I pull them, stomp, on the floor.
Im talking about 65-66 pvp. :P
Kiting is nothin wrong. If they cant counter your kiting then that means your GOOD! :D
Yes kiting is definitely a weakness in the majority of pvpers. Except Matt of course, he beats my every time -__-
Hows the build going Apple? :D
Hehe, not EVERY time :) ur good for a newbie :D
Oh yeah btw Apple you online now? Im on all day if you want more practise/advice/full on pvp :P
What is kiting!!
Nvm found out what it is,I do that alot
Kiting is 100% a strategy. They don't give you tons of space for nothing... otherwise we'd all be clustered up.
Basically moving around while attacking. You'll see a lot of people doing it with bosses in pveQuote:

I kited in SL pvp and All I can say is they get mad :/ I take commandos down Lvls 20-23 down and Im lvl 15 Lol, I can thank Twinkella (Ardon) and Twinkozaki (Kanozaki) and Rusher (Blind) for teaching me, because there are pros! I kited this op thats lvl 18 and he got mad cuz I kept killing him so he called me words like p**** and other stuff, I just muted and reported but still lol Why get mad its a strategy, and the funny thing was he was on my team before when he said that!
OOh my pair language lol
What exactly is kiting???? I'm new so idk
Kiting is using your weapons range as an advantage so that you can attack them whilst staying out of your opponents range
I do it all the time ;)
kiting is fine tbh... its juking i think ppl have a problem with
With my op i run in fire off my combo back out sorta kite til a skill pops up then rush back in and exicute but thats me lol
ye ik what u mean, theres this person ig who i fight in voodoo twinking, he says that his nuke is so weak that he has to kite at the start of each fight, e.g. he ll start the fight with fire then come back into the fight with shield up. i find it funny tbh
There was this comando last night kept getting mad cause i was owning him he said lets fight no armor im like alright still owning him with just my plat guns and hes still mad well then he says fight without skills a real pro can do that i try a few times fail put armor on and bam kill him again lol i was like people so stubborn and dont wanna admit someone is better than them
lol i get you... a few months ago i used to suck and some guy could own me over and over... he comes back now and still thinks he can... its been months and ive improved lol so ye its a similar situation
Lol
It's a perfectly valid strategy. People that complain about it are low skill players that are unable to counter and are venting in frustration.
Kiting is making maximum use of your range (auto and spells) so that you are hitting your opponent without running away and maintaining "auto attack" thus making it hard for your opponent to hit you.
Even a pally can kite if they utilize their 12m spells effectively at the furthest range possible to hit.
It stops being kiting when you lose auto attack and your back is turned to your opponent. Many confuse kiting with running and vice versa. When your back is turned during the fight and you lose auto you are now simply running away.
Exactly.
Could maybe search & find your answer in one of the many threads already on this subject.

People change their minds a lot, so maybe he/she saw that other threads said it wasn't bad but wanted to ask if it still wasn't bad. I see no wrong in asking again dude:p
Kiting, pft hate it if I'm not the one doing it xD lol. Easy, don't chase the kiter lol:p, my 'don't chase the kiter strategy' only works if bears have pull xD. People just get mad BC you kite and win lol. If they had beaten you they would have said, "Gf" or something but i don't think they'd be mad if THEY won lol.
I love kiting someone with xbow, and they call me a cheater than their next match they fight a str bear and kite him.
Kiting is only wrong when ur the one doing it guess. lol
But if u do it well then nice, have taken out several 50 with my 45 twink this way, they rage at me, I laugh xD
Sorry about not using search I guess...? Lol :) I honestly didn't even think to use search, but one of the reasons why i usually dont is because if I searched "kite" I'll just get a whole bunch completly unrelated threads where the word kite was mentioned once :)
they gave the xbow 13m for you to use at 6m... Yeah right... kite away my pro little twink friend!
In answer to the title, No stinkin way! If you can kite then you have skill.
