There re many new pvpers who didn't had chance get those gems during previous event ..so merchants of dl sell the few pieces that exist around in outrageous prices making it hard to new players specially get them .
Bring them back as looting during birthday event nd ofc we wait for somehing special too for such an occasion :)

Yes indeed, we need the gems back and a new moon gem because phantom moon gem is useless or what about a new level cap? And some new gems? And nerf giger.
