I just want to know what others think. I understand that there is a sort of gold cap insomuch as you can have up to just under one billion in stash.
AL does seem to mirror real life at times when it comes to trading, market, inflation.
Is having more than one billion gold necessary or is it harming the game?
I'm genuinely curious to know.
It's only necessary for old/lb vanities everything else important (gameplay wise) 1b is enough for gear pets ect

1. Hoarding

Until it is directly addressed with a proper gold sink for the wealthy then the game is more a Plutocracy than anything. The elixir and elite chest gold sinks are a joke. It's only harming low to mid range players, and is just a drop in the bucket. I dont think taking a drop here and there from people with billions could ever make any meaningful difference.
Small player base, small amount of op items, large wealth gap.. Yeah.. im sure there is nothing happening there. Take your wealth in items, not gold. Side note: Easter event is really good for spreading out wealth, but it reverses itself quite quickly due to reasons above..
I mean to be honest, 1b sounds rich. but it wont get you anything

I think u are proposing a gold loot cap. Same as in real life. There should not be a minimum payment set. There should be a maximum. Tax the rich lol
We've raised the gold cap by 10x several times over the game's life (10m, 100m, now 1b). Unfortunately, we've hit a technical limit and would have to change a lot to get a gold cap of 10b due to size limitations of how we're storing gold (32-bit integers) and it's just not worth the risk.

Go over the list of suggested (nongameplay) gold sinks and ummm implement them. Starting with a new magic mirror with skin tones, hair color, make-up, ect for a low fee 5k ish. I think you underestimate how many times a day or week some of the “ladies “ would use this. Pet level ticket for specific rarity (really who levels a pet for plat?), tickets could vary in level amounts. That Firebug lix from Stronghold is hardly worth plat these days, covert it to say 10k golds...
Just took another look at the Firebug lix, 15 plats for an hour. It’s barely visible compared to the plethora of shiny in towns. Make it 500 golds so the lil nubbies can shine for a whole Hour.
Maybe you could make a stackable item that you can buy for like 100m in store or something and if u open it u get 100m? Where u cant open if u are at 900m+? Not sure if possible/practical.Quote:
