Ever been in dm and shouted "up" but your cries are ineffective and you are forced to kill the same boss twice?!

Bosses should run further before retreating.

All mobs in the game have unique leash ranges. Let me know which mob should be longer, it may be set too short.

Hey thanks, the altar guardian in the deep marsh mainly, but also the swamp monster in the deep marsh and Orrick the fly lord.

Though. IMO all bosses should have their leash ranges, as you say, doubled.
