First goblin event one could nott even farm energy essence. First Elondrian event energy essence was so bad you would have to farm an hour of km3 for 15-20 essence, which now takes half that time in m5-6.
Energy kits can be crafted within the hour, now which previously took 2 hours(most of the times 4 hours) to craft.
Last year's Arlor event wasn't worth the time of most players by the third day of the event. I didn't even bother logging into craft the eggs by the second day. This year's event was much much better.
Last year's valentines event wasn't all about going into portal mindlessly. There were the golden love elixirs, that's were the real gold was to be made at was, these required platinum too. This year's valentine's event saw the boss drop the BIS gear for PvP, nott only that there were other things f2p about the event. I didn't play since real life responsibilities take precedence over a swag-muffin banner :/ Envious of most of my guildies, anyway nott to digress.

Or maybe you would prefer it if the event maps were easily accessible for all? Easily bottable and the prices of the items in the maps worth null?
STS should do a throwback event were needles in haystacks were much easier to obtain than energy essence, where the locks are the only things with the BIS items, with the items being so rare only whales could afford them and with energy kits purchased with platinum nott being tradable? Maybe that's what it will take for it for people who got back into the game yesterday to appreciate what STS does for their players.
~Nott to come across as a fanboi, like my OP on this thread there's still things to come and things they can do make the experience more enjoyable. Staying positive and considering how the game has to survive in the long run goes a long way.
