Commissar: “Move, veteran!”
While I was being detained, hundreds of civilians stared at me while the white flashes puzzled me from the reporters. Few of them tried to get closer, but were blocked by a wall of SUA agents. The world looked sad, judging by thick clouds covering the sun, as I stepped in the gray prison bus. Few of the prisoners slowly glanced at me and became suddenly amazed.
Prisoner #1: “Heyo! It’s Commander Mikhailov!”
Prisoner #2: “Mikhailov?! My God!”
In the last seat of the bus, a wounded soldier with bandages wrapped in his head waved at me with a good expression on his face. It was not just any soldier.
Mikhailov: “Comrade, you too?!”
Andropov: “Yes, commander.”
Prisoner: “Mikhailov? That be you, eh?”
He was wearing round glasses while he was in front of us. He was one of our groups during the civil war, and he was a signaler.
Andropov: “How did you go while we were dropping bombs at the mountains, Igor?”
Igor: “You guys were lucky. We had a lot of casualties for the ground forces, so I had to use my phone to-”
Driver: “SILENCE! I’LL SEND THE SUA TO END YOUR VETERAN LIVES IF I HEAR ANOTHER WORD.”
By bus to the railroads, the trip to Crypta took us 3 days. We never even thought of resistance. The landscape and the sky became more dark and sad. One day, Igor was looking at the barred window.
Igor: “Comrades, we’re here.”
Camp D.A, Crpyta
Commissar: “Welcome is Camp Dark Alterra. Comrade Dragunov no longer needs you despite the fact some of you are still able to fight. You will be assigned to do many labors, such as mining or even burying the dead. Any act of resistance, and you will join the lost souls of the Alterran fascists. Dismissed!”
Three years later…
Mikhailov: “Angela, we do not have much time. Comrade Dragunov is a warmonger. If he starts another military operation, then there will be another war. We must resist! Once we escape this hell, the UA and the veteran army will stop Dragunov, once and for all!”
I was along with the commander. I refused to work in this garbage for the rest of my life. I want to join with my friends, including my sister. If we fail, I will be able to join my parents.
Angela: “So, where do we start?”
