If you don't know them and don't want them to play with you, then why have them on you friends list? Just remove them.
And if I’m not completely wrong you can set password when starting a new game.

It’s way to easy to remove friends from your list, all you need to do is touch the big remove button and they disappear. There should be a Yes or No option when pushing remove.
