What level did you get your full dex bird to? I've noticed that there is a sort of cut-off around level 50 where full dex birds stop having as many mana problems.

Fox has got a good amount of damage output, and rhino can tank fairly well if played correctly. Maybe you should just try all of them and decide for yourself. :)
