Farm chest, crates and Elite weapons...sell everything (or trade plat for gold). Once you have enough gold buy the Mythic item you want.

Honestly to try for a mythic will be worse than gambling. Easiest way is to do well in real life and then buy plats with gold conversion. $200 for a helmet, $800 for armors, and 3k for a arcane hammer. If common sense kicks in, sell everything and buy with profits.
