As I understand it, yes there is a plan to have characters that have acquired the previous Mythic Helm and Mythic Armor to have a means to upgrade them to level 36 items.

I am not aware of plans to update, or have an update path, for any other items than the Mythic Helm and Mythic Armor.

Mm just those two then, looks like I have to get my hands on some mythic armor and helms :-)

Guys, this is nothing new. Sam said the same thing way back in season 2 when the mythic helms were first announced. He said the plan was to introduce mythic helms in season 3, mythic armors in season 4, and then have a path to upgrading them to level 36 in season 5.

Ener is just saying that because there hasn't been any plans to upgrade mythic weapons/rings/amulets. So people shouldn't act disappointed
