Become very worthwhile if become discontinued and desirable. Just look at how much the Christmas vanities now go for in the auction house. Not bad for an investment of 15plat at the time.
Not worth it if you're rich & have enough to buy vanities with gold
Vanities also hide what gear you have on. Useful if you don't want to make it too easy for people to know how strong (or weak) you are.
