Scrolling Chat.

This is just a rough explanation of what I mean.
But click the "chat" button and have all the previous lines of chat show.
Also allow scrolling of the previous chat, up and down with your finger.
This would also help with reporting abusive players, in my opponion.

Agreed I get invited to games but before I know it the chat is gone. We need the ability to see the chat history maybe in a drop down box. Just so we can keep track of what's going on there is certainly a lot more talking going on in this game and 3 lines of chat just isn't enough.

Good solution, I'm really disappointed by the current 3 line limit. I do like the option to have just 3 lines, but the scroll idea would allow us to see the previous conversations. While not missing any line's if several people speak at the same time.
Hope they update it soon.

The devs should just make the 3 lines be put in an invisible box. When you click where the chat shows up, a full sized chat box covers your screen. Here you can see a ton more lines, and have the ability to scroll and talk like a chat room.

Yes this is a great idea, but also when you are playing the chat lines do get in your way so maybe make the messages dissapear after a 2 min period. As in when you are in a dungeon the chat lines get in the way from when you were in the towne.

keep the 3 lines like they are now, but when i press the custom chat button (the one with the three dots that brings up the keyboard) the entire space above the keyboard be covered in the chat history with a transparent black background. because honestly i don't need to know whats happening too much WHILE im typing, and for those who do...they background is *transparent*

it's very hard to see who's leaving you a message especially when you're in town

or maybe they could provide chat filters where you can filter Loot messages, Private Messages, All, etc

This is pretty much how it used to be last time before the changes.

It worked pretty well for me.

And if you need to see what is happening around you, then what on earth are you doing chatting in the middle of combat?

I'm not saying the chat be more than 3 lines. Just click the message button.
Then lots of lines would show and you could scroll through them. But click done and it goes back to normal 3 lines.
