Item Preview In Auction

Sometimes we want to all look on auction for different types of equipment, but we are restricted to previewing only items that corresponds with our class.

My idea is to implement an auction preview option in the settings that can be "toggled."

Solution: Create an Auction Mannequin

The auction mannequin will basically be a generic mage, rogue, or warrior. When an item wants to be previewed, the preview option will display the mannequin equipping the item instead of your own character. This could also be implemented as a "toggle" feature in the options menu.

This mannequin will be very useful to merchers who consistently merch and sell a variety of class gear. Plus its also less tedious than finding some other player and ask to see it equipped (Sometimes they aren't even the correct class).

This could also be implemented in the trade.

Example: I am a rogue that wants to see what an Atrophy Sword looks like, but I must either view it on an alt or different AL warrior player. With the option "toggled," my rogue can see what it looks like when displayed on by a "warrior mannequin."

Agreed!! This really needs to be done. It's very hard being a merchant if you can't see what the gear looks like that you are buying or selling. As a result, I rarely deal in non-sorcerer items although I would like to.

I agree it's hard to tell if I'd want to own something that's not in the CS and I can't see the effect of the stats on my toon nor what it looks like...

Yeah I agree with this.

Another thing (though it deserves it's own topic)
Check stats when trading. You don't want to buy something that's useless for your stats, right? (unless it's worth a lot)

Thanks for the great feedback! Many of my guild mates agree with this since it makes it easier to know if you are purchasing the correct item.

Hopefully this will grab the dev's attention.
