Why do we need mythics?

Why do we need mythics i mean when your lvl 30 with no mythic or lvl 31 your a noob at pvp
And its so annoying but i guess its how the game earns money and then the ones who wear mythics are like
Superstars of the game. so why do we need mythics?

You don't NEED mythics. Mythics were added for the more hardcore players, whom had been asking for something hard to obtain as getting the best pink gear takes no time at all for those that play for hours on end.

This topic can get really deep, mythic is the new pink, id agree with you val if mythics werent so common.
It used to be hard to obtain but people asked for more cause "its not fair we pay cash for those crates" and ofcourse sts obliged.

The more i think about it the more it seems like an endless circle, you cant please e'm all but you can try your best and common mythics is the result of that.

I really don't agree with MYTHICS for the HARDCORE players, some plat players I believe aren't really hardcore players just by looking at their kdr, pvp and pve. Some are keeping up with the Joneses, I think.

Yes, they are WAY too common now (thank you repeated double chance weekends) but that was the original intent. Unfortunately we have these crates, which means if I spend enough RL cash I'll get what I want... not really what I had in mind when it came to things like mythics and arcanes.

You can buy locked crates and just farm them using plat.

One of the greatist quotes I very heard for PvP "gear doesn't make you the best player" I've.still got a positive PvP record on my warrio with no mythics and about 200k put into gear. I've seen people in PvP who have mythics and get mad when a non mythic player kills them. Don't get me wrong, if you put all mythic gear on someone who has the skills already it is very difficult to beat em. There is always a part of a player that needs skills not just gear.

Before they released mythics, the locked crates were selling in the auction for 500 gold and nobody wanted to open them since it was all crap in them. The only reason most players open the crates is to get mythic or arcane items. The crates are what pays for the game. Without the crates I would guess the revenue the game produces would drop by 95%. It is what pays the salaries of the workers who create the game.

If you eliminate the crates, then you would need to have some other way that gets players to spend hundreds/thousands of plat.

Mythic will be out dated soon sadly. This upcoming expansion is probably their last life of being on the top. Perhaps the bows MAY survive.

But hey, I don't have my mythic items anymore and I don't feel like a noob. ^^/ i use what I have, and I Do my best. whether its up against the Shuyal Arena or elite Nordr, I got my achievements and titles without a problem with what I have. I buy the most best of legendaries only. Served me great for a long time.

I think the stats of mythics should be toned down a bit. If I were to equip a full mythic set, I would have about 90 more damage than my current 31 set.

With what money? The reason why AL was possible in the first place with plat spenders. Making games isn't a free process.

Only one thing that all players need is " BEST HERO". They always need Powerful over other players in the game... ^_^ ( It's the way to earn money too) ^_^
