Default Farming Jarl (Normal) and Elite Maps

Hi all, I am new to this game and will like to seek some answers to my question

    1) I have seen many players farming Jarl at Brackenridge Village in Normal Mode. Why do people do this? Does it give rare loot like pets?

    2) May i know what level it is to access elite maps? I am lvl 19 now. I heard its 16 but that was long ago!

    Thanks in advance

    1) Fastest boss to get to, and all bosses have a chance at dropping locked crates ( currently 17k and rising. ) making Jarl the one of the best bosses for crate farming.

    2) it's currently 30+.

If you have guildmates or friends who can go to an elite map you can join them for any in Yrdr (Rooks Nest) or lower. by using the party screen or guild screen and tapping 'join' as long as you're lv 27+.

I have run lv 27ers through Elite Forest to Kettle Farm and show them some elite strategies.

The Lv Req may actually be lower - I haven't tried it with anything below 27 however and the mobs in Elite pretty much kick the #$%@ out of lv 27 toons too... but you can still see your mates in action and see what Elite is all about.

    Hope that helped!

She pretty much said that they may just stare at you and you'll die.

    LOL Moot...

No we usually have been able to help the 27s through the map - they don't draw a whole lot of aggro anyway :P

Flap Jack drops in Rooks Nest (Normal Map) not Elite.

Farm him when you have a luck elixer from Klaas for some easy cash if you're bored of chasing Jarl for crates

Ohh! Also, what are the items that i can get from locked crate which makes it so expensive.

Edit: another question: Does playing solo affects the loot drop rate as opposed to being in a party?

You have to be the maximum non-capped level (or up) to go to elites

I could be wrong, but I believe the elite dungeons through rook's nest only require you to be level 25, while the dead city, kraken and nordr elites require you to be level 30.
