best build for elite tanking?

In my post, I have a public Google Doc Spreadsheet, where all you have to do is enter your HP, the DMG from an enemy/boss and the mystery multiplier that STS has based on your level and mob level.

Play around with the spreadsheet and you can see that additional armor has diminishing returns when you have 4.5k HP and 1400+ armor.

The difference (as percent of total hp pool) is 28 HP or 0.5% of your total HP from 1000 DMG between 1500 and 1600 armor.

rofl u r saying like if one get good items (cost 50k+) per elite run. if it was like that elite gold warchest wouldnt cost 50k+
seems like luck % is more in ur account and i hav negligible %
the thing is that drop rate scks. not worth doing elites. m frustrated loosing money each run in elites.(nodr).
well we r rich to blow 20-30k everyday for nothing. bt wat about those struggling to get gold.

this season is complete crap without plats.
i manage to get 6-7mil from season1-2.
bt m lossing money this season. has 1.3m atm. :-(
i need only mythic armour. bt i think it is impossible for me.
atm i will do some crate farming in km3 until i regain my gold lost in pots

Right. This is the preliminary conclusion I've come to as well. However, I'm still waiting for Aze to share the thread on armor being exponential. W need all the facts before coming to a conclusion.

Yes, Nexus is a fantastic pet for Warriors. It really doesn't matter what pet you use. As long as it's beneficial to the group and you maintain aggro properly.

I love hearing people complain about buying Plat', I'm a poor college student and even I buy Plat' all the time. ;o 2$ for me to get 10 plat. It is expensive, but I guess I budget my money amazingly well, so I have room to spend.

You don't even have to resort to buying 10 plat for $2. You can do two or three app downloads for free and get the same 10 plat.

Though I don't condone gambling, after a handful of app downloads, you can try your luck at opening a crate. In the unlikely chance that you get lucky and loot an arcane (egg, armor, etc.), then, BAM, instant 1mil+, all for free :-)

Now, to get back to the OP, I've seemed to hit a streak of bad luck, running elite maps have been relatively fruitless, but the cost of pots is easily offset by running a couple of daily quests, so I guess I'm still break-even - which is not bad, given the terrible luck I've been having.

Also - regarding plat purchases... I buy plat once in a while when I get a good paycheck - otherwise it's not really in my budget. I do just fine with no plat and have been for a few months

Depends on the map - the easier maps, I consume very few especially with a good tank. I'd be interested to know how many the tanks use though... When I run with newer tanks and my blender pulls aggro - I end up spamming pots. Typically I'll stock up on both and have about 5k each until I'm down to about 1k at which point I'll restock.



Kill wasn't always a Mythic player just FYI - the only thing adding Mythic gear to his inventory has done is made Elites faster and cause him to use less pots (correct me if I'm wrong please Kill).

So... yesterday's elites run spoils (I'm out of plat... and no Klaas Lixer) - note - this was just my loot... We as a team ended up with two other snaggletooth eggs, a wrathjaw egg, and several elite goldens (not even going to mention the silvers and coppers, but they still help pay for pots)

• Snaggletooth
• Wrathjaw
• Malison

Here's how many pots I went through:

Health: ~ 800 maybe a few more.
Mana: ~ 700

Rich?

100 Health POTS = 1350 gold? so... 8 x 1350 = 10,800 gold
700 Mana POTS = I don't even know anymore...? 1300? so... 7 x 1300 = 9,100 gold

Yesterday's farm yielded the following crop (after listing fees)
Snaggletooth 0 (gave to guildy who needed him)
Wrathjaw 85k (sold in CS for 95k)
Malsion 200k (sold to guildy)
Less 19,900 gold
_________________

= 265,100 gold in the stash.

How'd we do?

Just to work it backwards for you, had I NOT been profitable I would have had to use a total of:
10,500 Health pots and roughly the same number of Mana Pots...

did I mention I don't have Mythic gear?... forgot to mention that.

Im using a hybrid build and its usefull:
All str
Use ss 4/5 leave the mana gain
Use cs 2/5 choose staggering blow
Use horn of renew 3/5 increased duration and protective shield
Use vb full
Passives full might /full dmg/full agility/3 knowledge/3 armor or 3 crit
And summon valkin.


U need a special tactic for this build ..which is :
Hit ur target with ss(charged) - normal hit (charged)-sp hit (charged) - normal hit(charged)-ss hit (charged)-normal hit (charged) etc...
In this way u will save mana and u dont need to wait other skills to regain ,no wasting time!.

well as a tank i dont care abt dps...and warrior cant beat mages n rogues in dps.

i cant afford mythic sword and shield right now ... any other suggestion for tanking weapon?

as per my opinion...
in five skill build - agrro holding isnt big problem but survival may be. because u dont have vb, rc or juggernut. ur build might require too much pot spamming. let see...( i have just started game 2 week ago so dont have uber gear or pets. thats why i m worring about survival with my normal legendary gear)

I thought I'd share my build. I have played around with a lot and I PVE more than I PVP.

I'm a lvl 36 warrior

I use

chest splitter - 5/5
Windmill - 5/5
HoR - 5/5
Vengeance 5/5

All Skill points go to strength
My passives are

armor stat 5/5
Might 5/5
Damage 5/5

I do agree spamming pots is a full time job!

+1 to Killingsworth post, I now enjoy leveling my warrior to lvl 31, with his mythic weapon ready on stash, to be a prodigy tank.

On a side note: How many pots do you have? How many do you consume in day's game?

I am also in killings guild as a fellow officer though we differ slightly on builds I think we can both agree we carry A LOT of potions. I don't like running to the guild hall to buy potsions often so this is how I carry them:

If my stash of hp pots ever falls below 1,500 I restock to 5,000 at the earliest convience (dont like to hold up others so I wait until I'm not in an elite running party).

If my mana pots stash ever falls below 1,000 o restock to 3,000 in the same manner as I do to refill hp pots.

I usually only have to restock every week or two. And I am refilling hp pots more often then mana pots.
