Level 69 bird - need some help

I've been leveling up my bird, and I'm extremely new to it.

I'm level 69 atm with an angelic set. I'd like a good balance for PvP and PvE. With 68 skill points to spend, what's a good way to spend them?

This works well for me-
9 shatter
9 buffs
9 blast
9 repulse
9 blind
5 break
4 roots
3 avian
This will obliviously change as you start pvping and and form your own unique playing style.
Combos-
Against bird- buffs>blind>repulse>blast>shatter>finishim off.
Against Mage-
Ms early- blast>break>blind>repulse>shattering>finish.
Ms late-
Repulse(avoid drain combo)> blast>blind>repulse>shatter/finish.
Against bears-
If ur using talon- break>shatter>blast>blind>repulse>roots>avian>repe at combo finish.
Using bow/xbow- repulse(avoid beckon)- break>combo>blind>repulse>finish.

@Will - What level are you going to? My main bird is 71 and my advise is be pure dex with bow. It is most difficult, and rewarding, in PvE. Hard to measure in PvP now with the crazy dodge, but I have played Warbird and Pure, and Pure is most fun.

Look up MoogerFooger's thread called " The Archer's Dive" as well as Physiologic's guides on boss strategy. I still use these forms of attack in PvE and are highly efficient with practice and PATIENCE.

For PvP, in my experience, there is no "one" strategy for a class. There is a variety of attack styles (kite, charge) and skill builds. I usually base my attacks on the opponent and their tendencies.

I know this is vague, but I am not as versed at bird as I am bear. It is my second favorite class though.

Sorry I was in a hurry so the answer is because of that quite vague. There are few things which make the build u specified quite wrong and if u want I can tell u via PM which were the "wrong" parts in ur build.

For the actual combos vs classes I also agree for a bit. Again if u want I can PM u the reasons why.

Yep, PvE tactics are still incredibly good to know which are told in that thread.

My personal build is manufactured alongside with Kanital for the best overall effectiveness for PvP and PvE. That's the reason I can't say out loud my build as it was behind hard work to tinker around with the skillpoints. Same goes for specific combos.

I just quickly took the build from my l71 bird/and made a very watered down version for l69. It was completely untested but I had no idea wether he was leveling quickly and needed rough build.

As Crim said, check physiologics guide on a bird, it's not updated of course, but gives pretty good tips.
Same guide I used for my main.
