How do I transfer my (sign in with google) account from old phone to new phone?

My new phone has the same email address as my old phone, but when I choose to "sign in with google" on the log in screen, I start a completely new account. I would really like my old account back on my new phone. I have 2 lvl 31's on my old account. How do I recover this account? (they're both androids)

Are you sure you used google? I've switched phones since playing, twice, and have the same account. I also login from four different devices (desktop, tablet, phone, laptop) and all use the same account.

Yeah. Weird. At first, i logged in, n i started anew, then i logged off, signed up for google +, then signed in, n i had my acct back
