    Default Paladin question

I got my lv45 thoth gear, have 142 str without equips, and my dex is respeced. my int with my thoth set is at 31, should i raise dex til i get 100% hit (not sure if i'll pvp with this char), and put the rest into int for that extra m/s?

other suggestions are also accepted because im fairly new to paladins still.

Either secondary Int/Dex, or just pure secondary Dex can work. But a couple of notes. Int does raise Hit% slightly, just not nearly as fast as Dex, so if you raise Dex to 100% Hit, then go Int, you Hit% will end up above 100%. Also, don't expect to get much M/s out of secondary Int. You get 1 M/s for every 50 Int. The only reasons to use Int are stat driven skills for mages, mainly heal, and a bit of extra mana. While Dex is the overpowered attribute that gives you higher base damage, crit, hit%, etc. I mainly recommend full secondary Dex for a paladin, but if you don't care about PvP, then a Str/Int/Dex build is fine (basically bigger heals, with less killer crits).

Still learning the stat effect concept, but is it like this: my int is 31 atm, so if i raise that total to 50 or 57, my int would go up by 1? or do i have to raise it +50 to 81?
(57 because you start off with 7 int).

If you mean M/s, you start the game with 0.92 M/s at 7 Int, and every additional point of Int gives you 0.02 M/s. So you reach 1 M/s at 11 Int, 2 M/s at 61 Int, 3 M/s at 111 Int, etc. Regen gain through attributes is painfully slow, so most regen must be obtained through gear. Unfortunately as a paladin, your only M/s gear is Croc's with 1 M/s each, until level 40 when Thoth gear (6 M/s each) are available.

I'm starting to understand it. Well my int without my 3 thoth pieces is 7 int. My m/s is 19 with the thoth pieces.
If I raise my int to 11 to get that 1 m/s, then equip my thoth pieces, would it go up to 20 or stick behind at 19?
If it doesn't, then I'll just put all my points into dex since it seems more understandable.

Total Int is still total Int whether it comes from base stats or equipment boosts. Each Thorh piece has 6 M/s and gives you 8 Int. So if you equip 3, you have 18 M/s just from the gear. Your total Int is 31 (base 7 plus 3X8 from Thoth), so that gives you 1.4 M/s from Int, for a total if 19.4 M/s. The difference in mana regen from secondary Int won't be noticeable, just 1 or 2 M/s at most.

    alright thanks!
btw is it bad if i use a conq's shock lance instead of a djinn spear of thoth?
the djinn spear has that extra m/s, and i heard that it has a better armor proc than a shock lance, though the conq's shock lance gives me the extra crit and dodge. i'm not really sure if I made a good or bad decision...

The lance is fine. I prefer the spear for a pally, but they are both fine weapons, and you don't really need all the regen from 4 Thoth Pieces. Plus, you don't want to get to addicted to regen. There is no good AO3 M/s Str gear.
