Did anyone see the proc on it? Chance to give +20 int and heal mana by 50% of max! With as fast as I fly through mana with 4 attacks this is amazing.

Yes, damage on the top lvl36 architect staff is about 10 worse than the mythic gun. So it's a pretty good weapon.
Yeah I want it. I like the mana heal proc. I fly through mana potions.
It should be good in PvE, but still because of having to aim it, it won't be as good as a gun for PvP.
Nice, those are elite puzzlebox items I assume?
As a pve player I'm happy its a staff. Guns are terrible compared with staves in pve. Hitting only one enemy instead of 3 can slow the destruction of mobs by alot.
Lol ive read the sticky but highest damage is normally a staff anyway (mythic gun was exception). Nordr jewel of brutality had highest attack in the game before expansion equip was released. I use 4 attack skills and only hit the weapon button in between skills but, when fighting mobs the dps damage from the staff to a gun is very noticeable.
Thats actually true, the new staff has like 10 less dmg than myth gun but it hits multiple enemies
Better or not for pve? depends on the way you play, in elite i like to stay away from mobs so i choose gun anyday also for bosses you dont wanna get close to
But if you got loot elixir and you farm eggs/crates vs fairly easy mobs the staff might be a better choise
dmg bro. use gun for dmg. one can deal heavy dmg using skills comparing staff. also useful at boss coz of its range.
also lifegiver heal is superior with mythic gun. love it.
My style is to just run into middle of mob and unleash the wrath of god while spamming the potion buttons. The staff allows me to drop the mobs quicker than with a gun even if they have the same damage. Unless something can OHKO me I can tank and drop bombs till everything is dead.
I got one of the cheaper ones (stablity, 379k) to test out. The proc is misleading, it heals your mana TO 50%. So if you're at 30% mana, you go to 50%, but if you're at or above 50% no healing.
It's still pretty good as a pot saver, I tested it on a normal shuyal tower run and didn't need to use any mana pots. I'll test it later on an elite run to see how much of a difference it makes in times.
So, I tested it out in elites today... put it back in market.
It just isn't good enough IMO, mainly because the proc doesn't happen that often. Runs took FAR longer than they should have, mainly because I was more worried about the proc than anything else. If it went off more often then it would be great (and probably way OP).
That said, for those without the mythic gun it still has decent stats. Just don't expect to rely on the proc for mana, if anything it's a nice boost but not dependable.
