Is there a list of orignal pets somewhere?

Yes, every pet achievement that follows the "Collect All 36 Original Pets" in the achievements > character tab (which is "Demon Dogs" through "Wolf Pack") encapsulates the original 36 pets. Complete all of those achievements, and you'll be awarded the Beastmaster title accordingly.
