This thread consists of three questions associated to ROGUES, rogue builds, skills and pets:

1. Best skill build for PvE? I currently have Nox, Aimed, Razor, and Shadow Piercer. I want to keep Aimed, and Shadow pierce, but i don't know which one to swap out for Shadow Veil, between Nox and Razor.

2. Best Pet for PvE? (excluding Arcanes and Mythics)

3. Best Pet for PvP? (excluding Arcanes and Mythics)

1) When you say PVE are you referring to Elite farming, timed runs, or Regular Map farming?
2) Again - this depends on your plan for question 1.
3) Malison is a must have, Ethyl, Nexus and many more...

When I said PvE, I meant for elite farming and levelling.

I have always preferred the blender build for levelling as well as Elite Farming. They are very similar:
Core Skills are as follows:
AS 5/5
SV 4/5 (no explode)
RS 3/5 (no spinning Freedom, no Bleed)
Traps 4/5 (no explode)

For Elite Farming I add these skills:
SP 1/5 – boss skill
Nox 4/5 – boss skill

Passives:
DEX: 5/5
DMG: 5/5

Exluding Mythic and Arcane pets…
All of the below are must have pets for any decent Rogue if you don’t run with mythic / arcanes:
Flap Jack (He’s the poor man’s slag)
Wraith Jaw
Talon
Ribbit
Malison
George (for his stun ability)

3. Best Pet for PvP? (excluding Arcanes and Mythics)

Talon
Malison
Jack (for mana)
McCraw
Esteban
Valkyn
Ethyl
Vixen

Thank you for your detailed reply Alrisaia, and all other helpful replies! I now have bought Mali, which covers everything! And my new PvE build works well. Also, I recently have got a bow, now I am 36, but I am a newbie at bows, so what situations should I use daggers or bow? Thanks again!

You're welcome.

I only pull out the bow during a boss fight for a boss that can one hit me.
a) DMG for the lv 36 architect quills is only a few points shy from the bow
b) Their attack speed is much higher, thus DPS is higher
c) Their PROC is insane (+50% Crit) and it goes off often and…
d) Daggers are just more fun

Currently the elite bosses I will pull out the bow for are:
Bloodhammer (sometimes)
InanHesh
Ferrix (only because of the goo)
Ashral Heart
Captain Krom
Grimnr

Some that I ‘grew’ out of:
Oltgar boss (forgot his name) – He can no longer 1 hit me so I just stand on top of him and beat his arse – this helps tanks hold agro close to them also, since I often steal it.
Bloodhammer – while he can’t one hit me any longer, I still sometimes pull out the bow to help me avoid his bite. This goes for both South Seas as well as Skull Cove.

Are Architect of Tactics or Brutality better?

I prefer Brutality because they have a higher DMG stat.

Others prefer Tactics because of the mana boost...
