    Default Tank rogue

Hey guys, I'm new to the forum and this is my first post. I was thinking to myself if a tank rogue was possible? So I thought, would I be able to achieve this, I thought about respecing and putting 5dex and 1str up to 36, passives 5/5 damage 5/5 dex 3/5 str 5/5 int. Maybe this would work? Skills sv 4/5
    nox 4/5
    sp 1/5
    as 5/5
    ss 4/5
What do you think, will this be achievable?

Tanking rogue is a term coined for a rogue build that is prone on str and increased hp via stats and gears.build as a flagging toonbor withstand hit which never really wotks.t this is nvr certified or official as the class is nvr meant for str and gets lower margin of bonus.

Another def of tanking rogue is for rogue who always charge ahead.also known as fast farmer smtms.

Im not sure how to share inputs for your request.best is to utilize the class core dex whilst having a decent hp.

If you want to "Tank" a rogue, keep you full Dex build, get the top gear, equip a pet that grants top HP or armor(Mali/Abaddon), slap on some daggers, keep you skill combos fast and pot your butt off. I like to do it in elite runs from time to time for fun. You really don't have to change your base build.

In elite, rogue CANT tank. I'm saying this because rogues don't have guaranteed taunts, which pull aggro.

Also, if you add str to your build, you do less dmg, which means less aggro.

Basically - the more strength you add the less likely you are to 'taunt' an enemy. The only way that rogues pull agro or taunt is because a tank can't hold the agro because he either doesn't have the correct skills to hold the enemies attention or he just doesn't know what he's doing.

And so we get to the main point of what you're doing and why it will fail - you're going to add strength in order to take more hits and 'tank' - but what really is going to happen, is all the other rogues, mages, or warriors in your group are going to get the enemies attention because you do less damage then anyone else and have no taunting skills. In this way you can't even take advantage of the high hp because mobs see you as the least amount of threat. Once everyone in your party dies, only then you will get the mobs attention.

The only application I ever found this to be kinda 'fun' was in capture the flag and deathmatch. It can be useful for capturing flags, I've done this before where I had about 5k hp - I used traps, pierce, and health packs and maxed the rest on passives.

If u want just more hp or armor use some str based gear like devourer of assault, without changing ur base stats, still being pure dex. U can experiment with it and change what the situation is like. Better as respecing for plat.

    true story.

a rogue is lacking the most fundamental skill that ALL tanks require. that being taunts.

The only way that a Rogue can draw aggro is launching into a Crit streak and lighting up mobs. With Ribbit, Valkin, Talon, and even Loki and Malison at times, you can get into a streak where your crit is steady at 50%+. This would mean that every other hit is a Critical and I can tell you from experience that even with a good tank around, you can peel off aggro easily. But, this only occurs when your DMG is high and you are dealing a lot of damage. So, this wouldn't work for a STR specced Rogue - you simply cannot deal enough damage and enough critical hits to draw attention away from tanks or anyone else for that matter.

Stick with a full DEX build (you could even go 10% INT if you need the HP), max out your DEX/INT/STR/DMG passives and use Gleipnir for added HP (or Blood Ruby if you can afford one). Then pick up a well rounded pet like Malison which also helps with survivability.

The point is that unlike Pocket Legends, there isn't the concept of Hybrid Classes here. Rogues are Rogues and nothing else. They are the 1v1 DMG dealers or high DPS dealers, they are not tanks!

And, BTW, drop SSS, it is probably the worst skill for Rogues in terms of damage and cooldown. Respec and swap SSS for Veil - your team mates will thank you.
