Elite Quest

I will probably add more to this idea but here is the basic framework:
No new content as far as maps or bosses will be needed, ofcourse they could be added to it to make it better.
Elite Quest for Blacksmoke Mountain: the holy artifacts
NPC: the fallen prince of course

 

In the early years of Alterra, the High King Dandy ruled and defended the land. For many years the land was at peace until Silknight and her guild of necromancers emerged as the most vile of enemies. They filled the land with zombies and brought it to the chaos that you see now. Worst of all, Silknight forged a series of demon stones that slowly weakened the King, the last hope of Alterra.

His best sorcerer and blacksmith worked to create a set of armor that would make him immortal. So the grateful villagers hunted for the proper materials for their lord(thanks to a very high reward to the one who found the best material). One hunter found a rare vein of Fnordian Blade Steel ore. It seemed to be the perfect metal for the king.

So the blacksmith crafted it into the mightiest of armors, and with the sacred enchanted seal it seemed to be totally indestructible. Unfortunately, it was so powerful it needed his soul to power the suit and it corrupted him to make him one of the largest tyrants ever known. When he finally died, of very UNnatural causes, the armor seal shattered causing the armor to splinter everywhere over Alterra.

Until recently this story was forgotten. You see the heavy flow of lava in this area has created a magnetic pole which has been drawing a lot of various metals into the area, While it is still very scattered, it seems that the larger lava creatures have retrieved the Fnordian Blade Steel shards, due to its very beautifully shiny qualities. For some reason the giant red dragon is not interested in these though.(Quest #1)

We found out why the Elite Red Dragon wasn't interested! He has the even more valuable Casting Gems used to summon a sacred seal on the metal...Go get em!(Quest #2)

Now we can try this on and see how long our souls last!...or there is a rumor than the Elite Onyx has a magic Lava Heartcore that would be able to power the Steel and the Seal. Try to pry some from his dead body!(Quest #3)

Quest Part I:
Kill any combination of the normal Blacksmoke Bosses a total of 500 times, Each time grants "Blade Steel Shard found 1/500"
Reward Crafting item: Fnordic Blade Steel

Quest Part II:
Kill the Elite Red Dragon 100 times total, Each time grants "Sorcerer Gem found 1/100"
Reward Crafting item: Sacred Seal Enchantment

Quest Part III:
Kill the Elite Onyx 100 times total, Each time grants "Heartcore Stone found 1/100"
Reward Crafting item: Heartcore of Magma

Upon final quest turned in, the prince will offer you a recipe for an Elite weapon:
Strength- 1-handed Axe

Each end of the axe head should have a glowing sparkle like on the savage scythe

• Lost War Axe
• Requires: Level 76, 215 Base Strength
• Stats: 195-206 Damage, 1.1 speed, 46 Strength, 2% dodge, 14% hit, 2% crit, 100 health, 12 h/s, 1 m/s, 30 armor
• Set bonus with Savage Buckler set: 3% dodge, 4% crit, 2% hit, 30 health, 9 h/s, 8 damage, 8 armor
• Set bonus with Elite Egg and Savage:1% dodge, 2% crit, 5% hit, 35 health, 10 h/s, 3 damage, 13 armor
• Super Proc: 15-20% chance to cause a very bright light beam to shine down and heal caster 10% every second for 10 seconds

Dexterity- Dagger

Should have 4 red glowing orbs like cyber armor hand around the hilt

• Soulless Night Blade
• Requires: Level 76, 215 Base Dexterity
• Stats: 125-131 damage, 0.4 speed, 46 Dexterity, 3% dodge, 15% hit, 10% crit, 55 health, 9 h/s, 3 m/s, 20 armor
• Set bonus with Swift Wing set: 8% dodge, 3% crit, 25 health, 8 h/s, 3 damage, 12 armor
• Set bonus with Elite Egg and Swift: 6% dodge, 3% crit, 30 health, 10 h/s, 4 damage, 13 armor
• Super Proc: 15-20% chance to turn caster invisible for 5 seconds; in PvE this also makes caster draw no aggro for 12 seconds

Intelligence- 1-handed spellbook

• Sacred Spellbook of Dreams
• Requires: Level 76, 215 Intelligence
• Stats: 160-180 damage, 1.5 speed, 46 Intelligence, 8% hit, 10% crit, 35 Health, 45 mana, 2 h/s, 11 m/s, 21 armor
• Set bonus with Fiery Eye set: 6% hit, 6% crit, 15 health, 20 mana, 6 h/s, 6 m/s, 6 damage, 6 armor
• Set bonus with Elite Egg and Fiery: 5% hit, 5% crit, 15 health, 30 mana, 12 m/s 5 damage, 8 armor
• Super Proc: 15-20% chance to summon 5 skeletons to fight besides you for 15 secs, when they die/vanish they explode doing no damage but casting rank 5 nightmare where they die

Don't worry I will add more about the weapons later. Just out of time right now.

Love the story, Love the idea, Love the creativity and Love the name of the steel!! Love the idea of a SpellBook

Hate that idea of that much grinding lol. But if it keeps set bonus and stats are better, HELL YES!! I feel helpless as an int Mage now everyone wears savage lol

I was thinking of making different set bonuses, one for egg and one for crafted shield, maybe even one for uncrafted 75 sets.
Still working on some ideas though.

I know; these are the small updates that would keep this game super great! 2 thumbs up at this idea.

New content, maybe the specifics are off a bit and need tweaking, for example 100 onyx kills is a little overkill, would be exciting.

Actually you could if it was real, they are just quests so doesn't cost anything unless you spend platinum leveling
