How about in the future we have professions...
Blacksmith makes Heavy Armor/ Weapons.
Craftsmen makes Archer Armor/ Bow.
Luthier makes Enchantress Armor/ Staff.
Enchanter... Umm yeah. It Enchants armor and weapons.
Apothocary makes potions. "not near as needed enless special potions
are brought in with the profession"
Go quest for supplies to make the things.
Level the profession up from doing material collecting quests.
Make it very time consuming also, so we have something extra to do.
I'd say make it take as much time to max out your profession
as it takes to get to 30 or "35".
But also make the top level of the profession able to create weapons just as good
as the top current drops.
Just a fun idea in my oppinion that would also bring questing.
