Had a new officer remove members from my guild when he thought I was not on. I was playing my mage. I had 101 members, by the time I logged back as my main character and booted him I was down to 65 members.

That is bad, I wonder what the fun is to do that.
IN BD we had the master of the tribe hacked and the hacker disbanded the tribe, also very annoying.

.....that happens to a lot of Guilds....mine too....
Unfortunately, this happens in almost all mmos with a guild system in place. Whether its just a troll doing it for their own kicks or another guilds goal, there's always gonna be a chance for a situation like this. Only way around it is only allowing certain officers to boot (via a setting only gms have access too) or only allowing the gm to boot. Quick fix that would save a lot of effort.
This happened in a guild I am in. Officer deleted all non officers from guild in about an hour. Was around 2600 members and recruiters he kicked.
This is called Mass Booting.
Only promote people to officers if you can trust them with your life.
And I believe Mass Booting IS a bannable offense. Contact STS with their information.
