quick question, does lightning knock back mobs?

No it does not.

only fire storm (not sure if thats the righnt name, but whatever) knocks back mobs- but if your a Warrior, stomp knocks back mobs....

Right, and the archer also has a knock back skill. I can't remember the name, but it doesn't ever seem to work very well.

depends on how many skill points are spent on it, though that was pre patch....

Well there's also the Bear's stomp attack, I think it's called "Stomp". The archer has this one called Shriek or something like that, and it only knocks back a very short distance, but it also makes the enemies dizzy for a little while.
