Need help understanding pvp builds

Hi everyone,
Maybe my title isnt very clear but ill precise it right now.

I am currently making a L35 reaper bear and a L51 dex/str bear.
The thing is i get owned with both lawl.
Of course i tested many builds, since respects are free, but didnt find a good one.

Moreover, even if i did read a few bear guides, i still dont fully understand the strategies linked to this class.
So that leads me to a few (or maybe a lot) of question.

For the L35 bear, this is my current set:
Vyx helm of legend, reaper, copper armor and shield.

I have no idea how to put my skills tho.
Should i use iron blood?
Max both taunt and evade?
Debuff bear or dodge bear?
How many beckon and stomp for perfect combo but not too much pushing? (Not ranged weapon)
The slashes...probably my biggest interrogation yet...which to use and which no to? All to 1? Max sms?

For the l51 dex/str bear, i guess the set will depend of the opponent
Acquiring gears is not a problem but i was wondering...crit or dodge?
Also, debuff or dodge?
Max iron blood?
I like having all slashes available and max sms for stun.
Max rage is a must i think.
Im more an offensive/bow type of person.
And there come the strategies...having the right combination is quite tought, so maybe could someone give me some tips on some important situations such as:
-i miss my bekon
-i get pulled
-i get rooted (and have a sword)
-etc

Basic but important question too : i heard birds had hidden buffs! Do the bears have some too?

I know plenty of my questions have different good answers but if i start a debate, it would only help me more

Finally, the best way to learn is to practice right?
