I've been receiving PM's of some of the finalists on the forums and in game, asking me to vote for them.

I'm sure I haven't been the only one who has been approached like that so figured I might as well give my response in this thread...

I firmly believe competitions in general should be judged objectively. If your work truly is the best, you'll automatically get the votes to show for it.

Winners of a competitions should be chosen by the quality of their entries and not by the number of friends they manage to get to vote for them.

This might sound harsh, but rallying people to vote for your entry is in essence, to me, the same as cheating... You basically try to convince the jury to vote for your work based on friendship alone, and not in the least because of the quality of your work.

So yeah, to everyone who asked me to vote for their entry, I'm sorry but that just wouldn't feel morally right to me.

But The Jury allowed to bring out pepole, friends, who could help us and vote, so i think, the request for votes isn't a 'cheat' as well.
Ofc You got whole point by that it is everything in 'quality' of artwork, however... "Vox populi, Vox Dei"... Dura lex et lex.. The fate of us is in hands of voters... And, even if some of us would like to change it, we cant.
